Woman Was Mocked for Her Dress on Tinder, So a Fashion Retailer Put Her Picture on Their Site

It’s upsetting how rude people are to strangers online these days. I guess it’s nothing new, but it’s still sad to see how people get cut down when they put themselves out there on social media.

But sometimes, there’s a happy ending to those bad interactions.

Take the case of a young woman named Thea Chippendale. She lives in the UK and, like millions of other people out there, she was on a dating app looking to find a love connection.

Posted by Thea Chippendale on Saturday, 8 December 2018

What she found instead was an incredibly rude insult from a man named George, who said she was “a bit of a joke” and that her dress in her photo on Tinder was “not doing any favours.”

Wow. What a dick.

Chippendale decided to tweet about her interaction with this man and her tweet went viral in a big way.

Well, things took a very interesting turn from there. A huge fashion company called ASOS caught wind of Chippendale’s tweet and they responded to her.

And then things went a step further. Chippendale said, “The CEO of ASOS, Nick Beighton, invited me down to their HQ where him and the amazing ASOS staff gave me a tour of how ASOS works and all the different departments they have. They also gave me a makeover and I got to have a little photoshoot with their photographers – it was an amazing experience.”

Take a look at this! Who do you think got the last laugh here?

We love this story!

Now we want to hear from the readers out there.

What do you think about this story?

Have you ever had someone really insult you or your looks on a dating app or a social media site?

Tell us all about it in the comments.

We look forward to hearing from you!

A Woman Messaged Her Tinder Matches With Quotes From ‘The Grinch’

Well, this is entertaining…

Dayna Troisi is a big fan of How The Grinch Stole Christmas and so she decided to do something very clever on Tinder.

Troisi said, “he is all of us. Like, for example, he hates people, and refuses to go out when he can’t find the perfect outfit (don’t you hate when you’re too bloated for your favorite bodysuit?). He is also emotionally stunted but good-hearted at the end of the day. Plus, he has a dog, so he can’t be that bad. So, I wondered: What would happen if I messaged my Tinder matches with quotes from The Grinch?”

Let’s see how it went, shall we?

1. Sign him up.

2. Nice recovery.

3. Not feeling it.

The Award for Worst Straight-Dude Tinder Bio Goes to…This Guy

Dating today is pretty rough. Everyone’s busy, it’s impossible to meet people, and dating apps can be superficial and depressing. Of course, there are decent people out there, and some of them are even on Tinder.

But not this guy.

Twitter user @TheDreamGhoul shared this winner’s bio:

Holy smokes. There’s so much to unpack here. First, let’s look at the full, expanded list:

Okay, so reducing people to a score out of 20 is a great strategy for an online quiz, not for screening people to date. This fine fellow is also making superficial things such as putting on make-up and having “way too many clothes” a high priority. I know, everyone is entitled to their preferences, but…wut?

Anyway, Twitter had fun with this one. Here’s someone mocking the idea of putting on a face:

This Woman Went on a Tinder Dream Date, and Ended Up Getting Scammed out of $200,000

A lot of us have had bad dates, be it on Tinder or elsewhere, but few of those terrible dates probably compare to the experience Cecilie Fjellhoy had recently. The 29-year-old London resident went on a date with a guy who seemed absolutely dreamy… until he swindled $200,000 from her and vanished.

It all started when Cecilie matched with Simon Leviev. Simon told Cecilie that he was an Israeli millionaire and diamond dealer; he claimed that his nickname was the “Prince of Diamonds.”

Sure, that might sound like a scam immediately. But Simon took Cecilie on a private plane ride to Bulgaria as part of their first date, so his story kind of held water. He swept Cecilie off of her feet.

“This was the first time where I felt like, ‘Oh my god I really like him. And it seems that he really likes me back as well,’” Cecilie told ABC News . “He’s texting and he’s calling and he seems to really want to get to know me, and I think I fell a bit for that.”

Eventually, Simon started claiming that he was in danger because of his line of work. He asked Cecilie to extend her line of credit to him so that nothing would be in his name and there wouldn’t be a paper trail. He even went so far as to send Cecilie videos of him and his “bodyguard” in the hospital after an “attack.”

Unfortunately, it was all a ruse.

Simon turned out to be Shimon Hyuat, a 28-year-old convicted Israeli con-man. He has a long history of defrauding women to fund his lifestyle, including the private plane that he used to woo Cecilie.

In the end, he took Cecilie’s money and disappeared. She was so heartbroken that she had to get psychiatric help. Meanwhile, Shimon is living it up in Panama, where he is denying allegations of defrauding Cecilie.

So, is Cecilie still on Tinder? It’s unclear, but she is continuing to meet new people — with a lot more skepticism.

“[I’m] much, much less naive,” she said.

New Emoji Coming Out Later This Year Will Seriously Improve Sexting

I can’t believe it needs to be said, but if last year taught us anything it’s that unsolicited dick pics (or just unsolicited dicks in general) are NOT cool. Nobody needs to see that, trust me. You don’t have some magically gorgeous penis that’s going to instantly make the recipient of your dick pic be like, “You know, I’ve hated every other dick that flew into my inbox without my consent, but yours really changed my mind!”

Now, thanks to the extremely clever devils at the emoji factory (that’s where emojis are made, right?), the anti-dick pic brigade will soon have a brand new emoji weapon at their disposal.

The Unicode Consortium announced that 230 new emojis will be released this year. The new emojis include a lot more diversity, more animals and foods and tools, and… a pinching hand.

The pinching hand looks like a hand that is saying, “THIS SMALL.” As in, “This dick is THIS SMALL.”

Men and creeps everywhere are shook.

As they very well should be.

Men’s egos are fragile, especially when it comes to size.

And while women have always had the words “wow so small” at our disposal, something about a single emoji is just a whole new level of roast.

Unless dudes have good reason to believe that a woman is interested in seeing their dick, they probably won’t risk receiving this emoji in response.

Which means they’ll exercise greater caution, which is exactly what they should’ve been doing all along!

One small step for the Emojipedia, one large step for womankind.
