Playoffs baby!!!! Here we go 🕺🏼

A post shared by Anthony Beauvillier (@titobeauvi91) on

Beauvillier decided to reach out to Kendrick on Twitter and, to his surprise, he got a little help from his friends. Actually, I’m not sure if he even knows these people, but they’re probably his friends now.

Here’s how Beauvillier tried to get Kendrick’s attention.

Okay, probably not the most original introduction in the history of mankind, but, still, he gave it a shot.

But then something miraculous happened. People on Twitter got behind “Beau” as he’s known to hockey fans and they started to chip in with stories (that could possibly be categorized as “tall tales”) and compliments to help boost Beauvillier’s image to Kendrick so she’d go out on a date with him.

There was the time Beau saved those kittens.

And then he gave another fan a kidney.

And remember when Beau saved all those puppies? And this guy thankfully mentioned how HUGE Beau’s cup is…hint hint.

Apparently, the guy is handy in the emergency room as well.

All in one day?!?! This guy can do it all!

And then we have this absolute gem.

Finally, this friend of Beau’s went above and beyond in the compliment department…

Some really great friends right there, don’t you agree? I’d think any lady would be hard-pressed to deny a guy like this a date.

Here’s how Anna Kendrick responded to all the hoopla on Twitter.

Nothing further on this story yet…we’ll see if this one ends up in a love connection.

What do you think? Would you have been so bold?

People Share the Horror Movies That Fully Traumatized Them…Let’s Take a Look

When I was 8-years-old, I stayed home sick from school and was all alone in the house. My older brother had rented a movie the night before, so I decided to spend my sick day watching The Evil Dead

Oh boy.

It totally traumatized me but also gave me a love for horror movies that continues to this day.

People shared what scary flicks traumatized them and left a lasting impression. These responses come to us from the Buzzfeed Community.

Let’s see yours in the comments!

1. Burnt Offerings (1976)

“It’s this movie from the late ’70s that no one’s ever heard of for some reason. It’s basically about a family rents a large estate one summer and a whole lot of weirdness goes down. It will mess you up for life.”

2. Evil Dead (2013)

“This remake was so terrifying that I couldn’t finish watching it the first time. It took me a whole year to gather up the courage to try watching it again.”

3. The Hitcher (1986)

“It’s been way too long since I’ve seen this, but it still terrifies the crap out of me!”

4. Night of the Living Dead (1968)

“My grandmother had 80 acres in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin. I saw this movie when I was 5 or 6 years old and was terrified to sleep in that house at night because it seemed like the perfect setting for those zombies. It still creeps me out.”

5. Tusk (2014)

“I thought it sounded like a funny premise, but it kept me up the whole night and bothered me for weeks. I’ve watched a lot of horror movies. I don’t know what it is about this one, but it absolutely haunted me.”

6. Child’s Play (1988)

“I was nine and Chucky somehow reminded me of my American girl doll. I had to put her away in my closet every night so that she wouldn’t stare at me with her huge eyes and buck teeth trying to plot my death while I slept.”

7. Arachnophobia (1990)

“I watched this when I was a kid and I haven’t had a worry-free shower in 16 years.”

8. The Descent (2006)

“This is the most disturbing, gory, hopeless movie ever made. I legitimately wish I could erase it from my brain.”

9. Phantasm (1979)

“I saw it when I was about eight and — although I had already seen other horror movies because my parents were huge horror fans — this movie was the only one to give me nightmares. To this very day I get apprehensive around undertakers, especially if they are tall and wearing a dark suit.”

10. Hereditary (2018)

“I went and saw a late night showing of this with a friend, knowing absolutely nothing about the film. Then, when the trailers for new movies started playing and they were all scary movie trailers, I knew that we were in for a ride. We were terrified!”

11. The Witch (2013)

“I watched this one night randomly at 3 AM because I couldn’t sleep and I love witch movies. It scared the heck out of me! It reminded me of the movie The Village, but scarier. It seemed so real. I will never watch it again!”

12. I Spit on Your Grave (1978)

“I can deal with a ton of violence and gore, but Lord, the sadism in that movie was off the charts.”

13. The Entity (1982)

“If you haven’t seen it, be thankful. I saw this when I was 10 and it is no less disturbing to me in my 40’s. Most horror movies nowadays don’t bother me, but maybe it’s because this one desensitized me.”

14. Funny Games (1997)

“You can’t make a list about movies that mess you up without mentioning this one. My friend and I watched the original German version. I thought I was going to throw up and made my friends turn it off.”

15. The Strangers (2008)

“This should definitely be on this list. I watched it back when it first came out and — to this day — I won’t answer the door if I’m home alone (unless I’ve ordered food, of course).”

People Shared What They Believe Are the Most Underrated Romantic Films of the Last 10 Years

What are your favorite romantic films from the past ten years? Ones that you think are pretty underrated and that might’ve flown under the radar?

Well, here’s a big list of them that you might want to add to your various streaming queues, courtesy of responses the Buzzfeed Community.

Let us begin!

1. Love, Simon (2018)

“First of all, it was one of the first films I had ever seen that featured a gay main character within a love story. I honestly cried multiple times. I felt like it was so modern and realistic. It really hit close to me.”

2. Call Me By Your Name (2017)

“It has to be one of the best love stories I’ve ever seen portrayed on film! Not only is the journey between the two of them so beautiful, raw, and heartfelt, but the soundtrack and scenery just makes you swoon even harder.”

3. Juliet, Naked (2018)

“Honestly, I think I might be the only person to have seen this movie. Ethan Hawke is perfect and it’s a lovely reminder of how much I loved him in the ’90s. Please go watch it so I have someone to talk about it with!”

4. Friends with Benefits (2011)

“Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are hilarious and have amazing chemistry!”

5. Brooklyn (2015)

“First, I loved how they chose a real Irish actress to play the main character. Second, this film takes place so long ago, yet there are so many relatable topics to the present; This includes immigration and falling in love with someone who is the complete opposite of who you’re used to dating. Lastly, I really liked how it wasn’t just about dating, it also explored family and death.”

6. Sparrows Dance (2012)

“Noah Buschel made a great movie about an agoraphobic actress (Marin Ireland) who hasn’t left her apartment or changed her routine in years after a huge nervous breakdown. She begins to fall in love with the plumber she has to call when her toilet overflows. The plumber (Paul Sparks) is understanding and slowly brings her walls down. It’s honestly so good, and my description doesn’t do it justice.”

7. Beginners (2010)

“It’s about a guy named Oliver who’s basically reflecting on his father’s life after he passes away. His father came out at the age of 75 and began a relationship with a younger man, which pushed him to be more honest and open with himself and those around him. While Oliver begins exploring his father’s life, he meets and begins to fall in love with a woman who has her own father issues. It’s honestly such a beautiful movie that deserves more recognition.”

8. Only Lovers Left Alive (2013)

“It’s such a beautiful love story, but I think people dismiss it because they’re vampires.”

9. Man Up (2015)

“Starring Lake Bell and Simon Pegg, it’s a British film about two people who are perfect and hilarious together! It’s kind of an unconventional premise, but it ends up working so well. I’m shocked more people don’t know about it.”

10. Like Crazy (2012)

“It’s such a raw, realistic portrayal of what relationships are like in your early twenties. The jealousy, back and forth breaking up, and the reality of how hard it is to end a relationship even when you know it’s not working. I think a lot of people can watch this movie and will be reminded of their first adult relationship, and what it’s like to grow apart.”

11. Five Feet Apart (2019)

“It did not the get the credit it deserved! It was pushed aside as just another movie romanticizing illnesses, but it definitely did not romanticize cystic fibrosis at all! I started crying halfway through and didn’t stop. 10/10.”

12. The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)

“It highlights a teenager, who is just starting to show signs of schizophrenia and depression, but is also learning about friendship and first loves. It hits me right in the feels every time I watch it. Also, Emma Watson’s hair basically defined the decade.”

13. Set It Up (2018)

“Honestly, my favorite rom-com ever! The movie has an amazing cast, with a funny and original storyline. The chemistry between the characters, the perfect slow burn that isn’t annoying, hilarious best friends, and a stereotypical dramatic airport scene. The movie has EVERYTHING in it you could ever want from a rom-com. The fact that more people don’t appreciate it is a straight up crime.”

14. The Giant Mechanical Man (2012)

“The Giant Mechanical Man with Jenna Fischer and Chris Messina is just a sweet movie about two regular people who are a little lost, and looking to be seen.”

15. The Switch (2010)

“The premise sounds like it would be one big Judd Apatow movie with crude humor, which I have no problem with, but it’s actually incredibly sweet. The relationship between Wally and Sebastian is heartwarming. I highly recommend, because it’s one of my favorite movies.”

Tom Hanks Discovered That Mister Rogers Is His Cousin

Call it a twist of fate or destiny, but actor Tom Hanks recently found out that and Fred Rogers (aka the beloved Mister Rogers who spent decades entertaining children on public television) are sixth cousins.

Ancestry.com revealed the information, to which Hanks said, “It all just comes together, you see.”

The news is particularly interesting because Hanks plays Fred Rogers in the recently-released film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which details the friendship that developed between Rogers and a journalist named Tom Junod who wrote an article about the television host for Esquire magazine in 1998.

An Ancestry.com spokesperson said, “Fred Rogers and Tom Hanks are sixth cousins sharing the same 5x great-grandfather … who immigrated from Germany to America in the 18th century.”

Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson, said, “No, impossible! You’re pulling our leg.”

Posted by Mister Rogers' Neighborhood on Sunday, May 1, 2016

It only makes sense that one of America’s favorite actors would play one of the country’s most-beloved public figures…and be related to him. What are the chances?

Fred Rogers hosted Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood from 1968 until 2001, focusing on themes of kindness, charity, and being a good friend and neighbor to everyone. Rogers died in 2003 at the age of 74, but his legacy and continues to inspire people all over the world.

Rogers is so well-regarded that there is now a holiday honoring him in his native Pennsylvania every May 23.

Watch the trailer for the new film below.
