People Discuss What Makes Them Immediately Lose Romantic Interest in Someone

You’ve probably been here before: you’re talking to someone or maybe you’re on a first date, things seem to be going just fine and then, BOOM…they say or do something that immediately makes you lose interest.

You know what I’m talking about, right?

AskReddit users shared the things that make them immediately lose interest in a person…let’s take a look.

1. So, back to me…

“When you come to them with a problem and they turn it into a conversation about them.”

2. Pity party.

“If they constantly make you feel bad for them. Felt so bad and was so worried about him for so long that the one time I needed the emotion I couldn’t have it.”

3. Take it down a notch.

“When they don’t know the difference between being funny and being obnoxious.”

4. I’ll take your word for it.

“If they say the words “I know I’m an asshole/bitch”. Like okay I’ll take your word for it. Also if it becomes apparent that they have no self-awareness.”

5. Forget the haters.

“They enjoy putting other people and their hobbies down.”

6. I’m back!

“Ghosting you then suddenly popping up out of the blue when they want attention. Yes Brittany I know what is happening when you call me, you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel and I resent the fuck out of being the bottom (wait that could mean another thing but you know the thing I mean.)”

7. Lack of situational awareness.

“Don’t know how to act in public/ are unaware of feelings other than their own.”

8. Who is the real problem here?

“If ALL of their exes were “toxic” or “crazy”

We all have one or two bad ones, but seriously it’s not ALWAYS that.”

9. That’s gross.

“Doing dumb things and should know better. We had a new guy join our Friday social group. Very nice guy. Attractive. At the bar, he took his old gum out of his mouth and stuck it to the bottom of the table. Really? So trashy.”

10. Definitely not cool.

“Selfishness. I am very considerate of others and I am slowly learning that I think I need someone that is too.”

11. Gimme something!

“When they have seemingly no opinion, no voice. When every answer is “I don’t care” or “I don’t know.” Like Jesus Christ I’m trying to find out what you like so that we can talk. Gimme something!”

12. Sounds pretty classy.

“Chewing tobacco. I’m also not a fan of smoking, but it’s not necessarily an instant deal breaker like chewing tobacco is. The truth is, I have seen too many men who would sit there and chew tobacco and then spit it into an empty Dr. Pepper bottle, and it grosses me out more than I can express.”

13. Let’s not meet again.

“Went out with a guy once who talked 90% of the time, 85% of that being about how much money he had made, how much he spent on his now ex wife, all the nice cars he had… I picked HIM up because he didn’t have a ride to meet up. He was legitimately confused why I didn’t want to spend the night with him when I went to drop his ass off. Never saw him ever again.”

14. This! Yes!

“Being rude to customer service people.”

15. Ugh! Run for the hills!

“If they say I love you on the first date. Creepy AF.”

I had a feeling these responses would be pretty enlightening.

Now it’s your turn! What immediately turns you off from a person?

A Daycare Shamed a Mom by Writing Message on Her Son’s Stomach

People are far too eager to shame moms for literally every little thing when most of us are just running around trying to do it all on way too little sleep.

You would think that people who run daycares and deal with small kids and their parents all day long would understand that, but these workers definitely proved us wrong.

It’s easy to think diapers are in the diaper bag, or to think you have a half a package somewhere only to find out you’re totally out at a really inopportune moment.

So. I need opinions. Am I right to be furious about this? Or am I over reacting? I really need your opinions guys,…

Posted by Heather Chisum on Monday, January 27, 2020

So assuming you have some for daycare and miscalculating seems like a pretty average mistake.

Definitely not something workers there would totally shame you for flubbing.

It happened at a Florida daycare, where each day, a report is placed in the boys’ backpacks. It relays their mood for the day, diaper changes and times, and anything else parents need to know.

Apparently they had expressed the need for more diapers the day before, but Heather Chisum, the boy’s mother, had read it.

She says,

“I’m a single mom with a full time job and two very young children.

SUE ME FOR NOT READING THE REPORT EVERY SINGLE DAY.”

I think we can all relate. Because who in the actual **** would do something like this?!

She detailed her rage experience on Facebook, asking whether or not she was out of line to be upset.

UPDATE: For all of these mothers coming after me and saying I’m negligent, I’m human and I missed a report. ONE. For…

Posted by Heather Chisum on Monday, January 27, 2020

Perhaps the most outrageous part of the whole thing was the ridiculously long “note” – “Mom I’m out of diapers pls read my report” – instead of a simple “need diapers.”

Or, you know, a quick conversation or a Post-It, instead of a toddler.

“I’ve scrubbed it with several baby wipes and it’s not coming off.

I had plans to take them to the beach to play, and now I can’t because my son has writing all over him.”

Posted by Heather Chisum on Monday, January 27, 2020

Other parents have agreed that the daycare was out of line, and even though the center’s executive director apologized, saying they were “terribly sorry for the distress it has caused the family involved as well as all of our families,” and that it was “a breach of our professional ethics on the part of the teacher,” Chisum decided to pull her kids out of the place.

As a mom, it’s hard to blame her, for a couple of reasons.

First, how dare you put marks on my child’s body that won’t easily wash off? Or at all?

Second, I don’t need to purposefully come into contact with people who will take the chance to shame me, should they get it. Seriously. Bye.

Do you agree with me? Or are you on the daycare’s side, and think they probably just thought it was a lark?

Sound off with your opinion in the comments! But just so you know… if you side with the daycare… you’re wrong. ?

An Astronaut Posted Pictures of Earth and Flat-Earthers Complained

The Earth is round – we’ve known this for many hundreds of years. It wasn’t particularly controversial for much of that time, but for some reason there has recently sprung up a small contingent of people that insists, incorrectly, that the world is flat.

Jessica Mier is a NASA astronaut who witnessed the beauty of looking at Earth from a distance. She shared a few photos online with the world so the rest of us could appreciate our home.

There are always people who want to diminish something beautiful and positive. After Mier uploaded these photos, flat-earthers showed their disdain.

Several people accused NASA (and Mier) of using a fisheye lens to take photos of our “flat” Earth. You’re probably familiar with this, but a fisheye lens can make objects look more curved and wider. This effect can make flat objects look more spherical.

Others quickly shut down these flat earth theories.

Well, at least some of these good people tried to knock some sense into flat-earthers.

Mier currently resides in the International Space Station and is an accomplished physiologist from Texas. It’s clear that she loves her job, and she frequently posts about what she sees from space, the history of astronomy, and her workplace adventures.

She even delivers lectures from space!

Regardless of what a few flat-earthers might say, Mier is clearly going to continue killing it at NASA.

What did you think of these pictures and the flat-earthers’ responses? If you have anything to say about these photographs or the flat-earthers who might try to discredit them, know what we’ll totally respect your comments…

Chrissy Teigen Revealed Her ‘Night Eggs’ Habit and It’s a Very Strange Insomnia Hack

Chrissy Teigen is in the spotlight for a lot of things: being a model, writing best-selling cookbooks, and publicly roasting her husband John Legend. And now, she is also famous for eating eggs in the middle of the night.

Chrissy revealed her “night eggs” habit on Twitter recently, and it drew a lot of attention because, hello — WTF are night eggs? She just casually dropped them into a tweet about Reddit.

Of course, people had questions. So many questions. In a follow-up tweet, Chrissy answered some of them.

“I can’t sleep without being overly full,” she explained. “I take two hard boiled eggs to bed every night and eat them when I randomly wake up. It used to be beef jerky but I’d wake up too puffy.”

But this answer led to, um, more questions. Where does she keep the eggs? Isn’t it annoying to peel them half-asleep? What if she doesn’t wake up to eat them?

But she always does, apparently. Chrissy added that she wakes up for at least 30 minutes at least four times a night. Phew!

This isn’t the first time Chrissy has mentioned her night eggs. In December, she posted photos of them in bed with her. As you can see, the eggs are already peeled, so that answers one question at least.

Look, the idea of a midnight snack is obviously not new, nor are the struggles of insomnia. Chrissy’s mentions filled with people naming the snacks they like to eat when they wake up: apples, cheese and pistachios. But eggs?

EGGS?!

Apparently, there is some scientific justification for doing this. A naturopathic doctor told Well + Good that “a little bit of protein at night before you got to sleep — maybe about 6 grams of protein, which is the equivalent of an egg — it gives you a nice blood-sugar balance through most of the night.”

That’s just one doctor, but hey. If it works for Chrissy…
