Dads Will Love These Pitch-Perfect Memes

If you know some dads, then you know that there’s very little in life they enjoy more than a good joke – or at least, what seems like a good joke to them.

I’m pretty sure that a groan and an eyeroll is just as good as a laugh as far as dads are concerned, and if that’s your kind of humor, too, these 14 memes are going to land just right.

A Concerned Parent Wants to Know if He’s Wrong for Refusing to Help His Daughter With Her Family Tree Assignment

Almost every kid who attends public school will, at some point, come home with a family tree assignment. You fill in the blanks, you ask your relatives some questions about where they grew up and what their parents did and maybe for an anecdote or two, and voila!

At least, that’s what I remember.

According to this man, though, his daughter’s assignment turned out to be nothing like he expected.

There were questions about taxes and other personal financial information.

It asked for replies about medical histories and potential criminal backgrounds.

He tried reaching out to the teacher but got no response, and other parents were also concerned.

One of them finally got hold of the teacher, who explained the assignment was meant to make students more aware of the diversity in their school.

The intention was fine, he thought, but he still felt odd about sharing such personal information – some of it about extended family members – with the community at large.

He and about 2/3 of the other parents agreed their kids wouldn’t be taking part, but some committee called them “Karens,” and accused them of sabotaging efforts to be more diverse and inclusive.

He wants to know if this is a normal thing, and if he was maybe overreacting.

Short answer? No, people don’t think that at all.

Some pointed out the nature of kids and the potential for the information to be used to bully and tease.

Others thought the content was inappropriate for young students, and should be reported to the superintendent, besides.

There is always a fine line – and this seems to have crossed.

You know you can’t trust anyone these days.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m definitely on the side of OP – some things are just not the school’s business.

Tell me in the comments where you come down on this, and why!

Dad Dancing During His Daughter’s Online School Is What Everybody Needs Right Now

It seems that – for a lot of parents, anyway – online school has been full of more downs than ups. We’re trying to manage school along with our own careers, or are running back and forth putting out fires, or our kid’s first grade classroom has gotten way more of a glimpse into our personal life than they probably wanted.

So, we’re due for something hilariously awesome to happen, right?

Little Delaney Jones was making a tutorial on making some kind of Christmas craft. Her mom Jennifer says she often makes them just for fun, or to send to her friends or just to watch herself later.

Her father did not realize that this particular tutorial was meant for her teacher, and thought it would be funny to dance, wiggle, clap, sing, and swing a toddler around in the background.

I mean, even her older brother gets in on the action.

“I was checking Delaney’s Seesaw (app for school) and she often will send her teachers random videos wishing them well, or goodnight, or just talking to talk.

Well…I found this as a sent video from earlier today.

I hope her teacher laughed as hard as I did.

How’s your distance learning going?”

These dance moves are seriously a sight to behold, but Delaney herself – cool as a cucumber in the midst of absolute male-created madness – is really the star of the show.

She’s focused on her craft and just keeps going, breaking off here and there to introduce the dancers and other interruptions, and once for a giggle.

Girlfriend is going places in live with focus like that!

I hope her teacher laughed so hard and then realized she’s in the right line of work after all – I don’t know how you could watch that and not crack up.

I was checking Delaney's seesaw (app for school) and she often will send her teachers random videos wishing them well, or goodnight, or just talking to talk. Well…. I found this as a sent video from earlier today. I hope her teacher laughed as hard as I did….How's your distance learning going?*update* Daddy thought she was just making a "tutorial" like she typically does. He didn't know she uploaded it to seesaw and sent it to her 1st grade teacher!

Dad’s got some moves!

If you’re watching this, I hope it also reminds you to be silly and have fun with your kiddos.

This has been a trying time for all of us and we can all use the smile.

Just…how do you not know that.

I’ve been a stay at home for more than five years. In May, I started working part-time and this morning I had an event that started before school drop off. My husband stayed home and helped get the kids out for school. Apparently, my daughter decided to wear underwear (not just any underwear but thick diaper like training underwear used for potty training) and told my husband they were “short shorts.” Based on her smile and the fact she locked her door while getting dressed, I’m pretty sure she knew they weren’t shorts!! Swipe ➡ to see the messages that followed once I was informed of the situation, plus a picture of my daughter in school in underwear and the message I received from my girlfriend who filled me in on what was taking place! At least my husband remembered to brush the girls teeth and clean their newly pierced ears… so there’s that! ?‍♀️??‍♀️? . . . #workingmoms #worklifemomlife #headshake #funnymorning #lifeofaworkingmom #stayathomemom #stayathomemomlife #toddlers #threeyearsold #itsagoodstory #lotsoflaughs #lol #todayparentingteam #todayshow #todayshowparents #buzzfeedparenting #buzzfeedparents #scarymommy
