This Social Media Account Features Bodega Cats and the Pics Are Delightful

In case you haven’t heard this word before, bodegas are basically convenience stores, and let me tell you that there are TONS of them all over New York City.

And, in case you didn’t know, a lot of these bodegas have cats that live in the shops to keep an eye on things, keep rodents away, and most importantly, for us humans to enjoy.

A Zookeeper in Australia Shares Pictures From His Job and They Are Wonderful

It was always one of my dreams to become a zookeeper…but then I realized I was really bad at science and there was no way in hell I’d be able to ever do anything with animals or medicine…

But these days, I get to live vicariously through other folks who make a living working with animals, and that’s just about the best thing I could ask for!

And one great example is a zookeeper in Australia named Chad Staples. He shares great and wholesome photos of his daily activities on his Instagram page and we think you’re gonna love it. We know we do in a major way!

When I was a kid, I realized that as we got older, we got taller. So far so good. I was also informed by my mom that some day, I would most likely be taller than my older sister, since boys tend to be taller than girls on average.

With these two bits of information in my head, I came to the conclusion that one day, I would be older than my older sister. I was elated. Because age means seniority, and seniority is power. Soon I would be at the top of the pecking order. I lorded this over her, only to have her shut it down with a “no, that’s not how it works.”

I was livid. Inconsolable. My dumb kid brain couldn’t put it all together. But it makes for a funny story now. Just like these tweets!

Before and After Adoption Animal Pics to Make You Smile in a Big Way

I don’t have a dog right now, but (pre-pandemic), I would go down to Baton Rouge to watch my sister’s two dogs, Bea and Lily, whenever she went out of town for a while.

And let me tell you, these two rescue pups are two of my favorite pooches on the entire planet! I don’t know too much about their circumstances before my sister took them in, but I know that they’re now happy, well-fed, and absolute professionals at relaxing and snoozing on the couch.

My point: adopt, don’t shop! And enjoy these before and after photos of pets who are now in loving homes!
