A Woman Asked, “Am I Wrong for No Longer Cleaning Up After My Boyfriend?”

I know that everyone can be lazy, and that we all have those down days when we don’t feel like being a responsible adult and taking care of ourselves and our space.

That said, across the board, it seems like while the women in relationships have days like these, the men in those relationships have fewer responsible days than the other way around.

Just my personal observations, you understand.

This woman is finding herself in one of these all-too-common relationships, where she’s been the one cleaning up after her partner like she’s the only adult in the home.

She gives a few specific examples, like how he refuses to put the scoop for the cat food back where it goes. She’s started leaving it where he did, which he, of course, finds annoying.

I have come to realize my bf rarely moves items back to their original homes. Yes, I have talked to him about this and we haven’t resolved anything, hence the post here.

So, my boyfriend will not put anything back to where it should be. This includes kitchen utensils (I’m not OCD, I just think the cutting knives should go near the cutting board), toilet paper, qtips, and most recently, the cat food feeding scoop.

Specifically, he feeds the cats in the morning, and leaves the scoop by whoever he feeds last (they’re all fed in separate rooms, we have a fast eater). I feed the cats at night, and have to wander around until I find it, and then I put it back in with the cat food, which is where he goes in the morning. I started replacing it to exactly where he leaves it now, and he’s getting annoyed it’s not in with the food in the morning.

Then there’s the toilet paper, which she now totes around to see how long he will go without replacing the roll, and the Q-tips he would rather forgo than replace.

Toilet paper. He will never replace it. So I started bringing my own roll into the bathroom, and if the bathroom roll is empty, I don’t replace it. This goes for the qtips as well. He won’t replace them in the bathroom. I have not replaced them in a month and it seems like he just stopped using them…

He doesn’t even empty the grocery bags, just shoves them in their general locations and assumes she will empty and organize things later.

Things came to a head, here, when he accidentally put some chicken into the pantry that went bad.

Finally, when we go grocery shopping, he just shoves all the bags into the fridge/freezer/pantry for me to empty later. I have stopped emptying the bags and organizing the fridge, and just remove my item from a bag and leave it as it was.

This probably upsets him the most, since last time he put a pack of chicken in the pantry last time, that I “didn’t notice”. I really didn’t notice it though, that’s what he said to me. I assumed he at least checked the bags to be going in their general locations.

Is she wrong? Is he right to be upset?

Anyway, we have been fighting about this and today he got upset the cat food scoop was not with the food, and in the kitchen (where he left it).

AITA for trying to make a point that I can’t constantly be fixing everything?

I think (hope) you all know the answer to this one, but let’s check out the comments just the same.

The grocery bag thing is just a whole new level of lazy.

And no, it’s not her job to “raise” him. His mother should have done that.

Every action has consequences. It’s about time he learned that, even the hard way.

There did seem to be a consensus on where at least part of the blame here does reside.

It’s the infuriating expectation that SHE do it that really did people in.

I think the fact that they’ve already had discussions about this actually makes it worse. She’s told him it bothers her, and not only does he not make an effort to change, he expects her to pick up his slack.

Big ol’ nope.

What Actor or Actress Was Totally Wrong for a Role They Played? Here’s What People Said.

I think that being a casting director would be pretty difficult.

You really only have one shot to get it right with each role and if you mess up and cast the wrong person…well, we all know how that usually turns out…

Folks on AskReddit talked about the actors and actresses they believe were totally wrong for specific roles.

1. Could’ve been better.

“Jafar in the new Aladdin.

He wasn’t believable or menacing and way too young.

Plus for much of his screen time he’s standing next to Navid Neghaban, who would have been a MUCH better choice.”

2. Blame the casting director.

“Ferdia Shaw as Artemis Fowl.

He conveys none of the intelligence, shrewdness or relentless determination of the book character. He comes across as a child dressed up in a suit and handed cue cards with smart-sounding lines to read unconvincingly.

He’s a child so I’m going to lay the blame for that one on the casting director.”

3. Not a great choice.

“Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

He would have been more believable as Kyle Raynor then Hal Jordan… he was regularly thrown around to play Wally West as the Flash.

They took a big(ish) popular actor and throw him at a role without any consideration that his personality matched the character.

Everything that makes Reynolds perfect as Deadpool makes him wrong as Hal Jordan.”

4. Missed the mark.

“Joel McHale as Roy in the ill-fated US remake of The IT Crowd.

We want a scruffy and misanthropic IT nerd, so let’s get an actor known foorrr… charisma and confidence?

OK…”

5. A real classic!

“Jon Voight as a snake hunter in Anaconda is fine.

But him as a snake hunter from Paraguay…with an accent?

Just……why?”

6. Dr. Acula.

“John Dorian as Dr. Acula. He is way to hammy, and not very threatening for a vampire who is behind loads of mysterious deaths in the hospital.

He clearly only got the part because he wrote the darn script for it. It was also a very racist filming process where multiple times Chris Turk was told to “act blacker”.

In good conscience I can’t support the film.”

7. Upcoming movie.

“Kevin Hart as Roland in the upcoming Borderlands movie.

Everyone who knows anything about Borderlands will agree with me. Terry Crews should be playing Roland.

He’s big, has comedic chops, and can play the no-nonsense straight shooter BAD*SS when everything else is wild.”

8. Struggled.

“Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Sophie Turner as Jean Gray.

I like her as an actress, but I just couldn’t get into it.

I felt like she struggled with hiding her accent.”

9. Not a good review.

“Colin Farrell as Alexander The Great.

As one of my old university professors once said, “I wouldn’t follow that guy to the end of my DRIVEWAY”.”

10. The remake.

“Both Lily James and Armie Hammer in the Rebecca remake.

She’s way to confident to be the narrator and he’s way to smarmy to be deWinter.

And I thought that before all the creepy stuff about him came out – now it’s even worse to try to watch.”

11. A look into the future.

“I will take a look in the future and say Mark Wahlberg as Sully in the Uncharted movie.”

12. Those are teenagers?

“Any film with 30 year olds playing teens.

I was so confused by Grease growing up.

Why are these people that look the same age as my mom at school?”

13. Not great.

“Cameron Diaz was horrible in the 2014 Annie remake.

She hasn’t made a movie since.”

14. Nicole Kidman.

“Nicole Kidman is cast as Lucy in Aaron Sorkin’s Lucille Ball movie.

She can’t move her face anymore.

And I like Nicole Kidman, she’s done some great stuff lately but this doesn’t make sense.”

15. Messed it up.

“Annabeth in the “Percy Jackson” movie.

The main physical feature was supposed to be the blond hair, and they somehow messed up on that.”

People Talk About Meeting Celebrities Who Were Total Jerks

Isn’t that a bummer?

You meet a big, fancy celebrity and they turn out to be…less than pleasant.

Hey, it happens all the time, but the stories are still pretty interesting.

What celebrity did you meet who was a total jerk?

Here’s how folks on AskReddit responded.

1. Not cool.

“Bobby Flay.

We paid hundreds of dollars to go to a fancy event he was participating in. Waited for a long time to just meet him and say hi, he looked at us and walked away.

Was a d**k about it too.”

2. Good and bad.

“My fiancé is a chef at a pretty prominent boutique hotel restaurant in Philly.

He says the two worst guests were Arianna Grande (made not one but two servers cry) and The Rolling Stones.

The best guests were Sylvester Stallone, Pink, Lady Gaga, and Guy Fieri.”

3. Only heard horrible things.

“Jared Leto.

I worshipped him as a teenager, mainly from seeing him in Requiem for a Dream and My So-Called Life and his band.

But he was the most pretentious and arrogant person in real life.

Never meet your heroes.”

4. Bummer!

“Reggie Jackson. He was a childhood idol of mine.

I got the opportunity to get a photo with him at some booth at a trade show called “Internet World” years ago during the dot com boom. No one was in line to get pictures with him so I walked up to get a photo while he was apparently trying to get the girls in the next booth over to sleep with him..

He acted all bugged that I asked for a photo, even though that is what he was hired for and rolled his eyes.. I guess he thought I cock blocked him by just showing up in line to get a picture. I tossed the picture in the trash once I got it.

Later that day I got a ball signed by Steve Garvey who was super nice. He replaced Reggie Jackson as my hero that night.”

5. Rock God.

“Ace Frehley of KISS.

It was at a rock n roll/TV/movie memorabilia convention in the mid 90s, shortly before the Kiss reunion, and he clearly didn’t wanna be there.

He didn’t talk to fans, didn’t say hi, hell, he didn’t even LOOK at you when you came to his table. He just signed whatever you placed in front of him and then you were hustled away.”

6. Scumbag.

“Bill Cosby, before everything was publicly known.

He came to the restaurant in DC where I was a hostess. I came to get him for his table and he said “did you need a college degree for this job?”

Erm, no, man. Have you never met a server before?”

7. Diva.

“Diana Ross.

I worked in a health club in a hotel across the street from a stadium when I was young. She came in, looked at the pool (which was a really decent lap pool) and said, “My bathtub is bigger than this.”.

I replied, “Go back to your bathtub then.”. She wanted me fired instantly. HR told me to go home for 2 days because if they fired everyone she wanted fired, the hotel wouldn’t have any staff.”

8. Big ego.

“Drake was just unprofessional and egotistical when I worked with him both times.

This was before he got big big, first award show type level.

He told me to f**k off directly and I watched his mom calm him down from a tantrum.”

9. Neon Deion.

“Deion Sanders. I interviewed him at an NFL/military event like 8-9 years ago and he was a pr**k the whole time. He threw my lavalier mic on the ground when he was done instead of placing it in my outstretched hand.

I was also active duty military at the time and the event was on a ship.”

10. A letdown.

“Ray Romano.

Met him at a carnival like 12 years ago and he was a complete d**khead. I asked someone who was within proximity if it was indeed Ray Romano, and he hears me ask then turns around and says “oh hey look it’s Ray Romano” with a sarcastic tone and my father said “you don’t have to be rude”.

And his reply was “your kid doesn’t have to talk to f**king strangers either, good job dad” and he walked off just babbling bulls**t to himself. Kinda sh**ty since I spent some years watching his d**n show.”

11. Jerk.

“Me and my sister saw Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, and Salma Hayek on the street when we were eating lunch.

They were just coming out of a car, about to go into some building next to us. We had no idea why they were together but in retrospect it was definitely because they were filming 30 rock together.

My sister said “OH MY GOD IS THAT TINA FEY??” and Alec Baldwin turned around and went right in her face and said “dont f**king say that, dont speak to us, why would you say something like that? You cant speak to us, not now”.

But it didn’t really end there, he yelled AGAIN at us outside his building, saying “DONT LOOK OVER HERE, TURN AROUND AND EAT YOUR FOOD, F**K OFF”. He sounded genuinely furious at us. Almost like he wanted us to yell back and start something with him. Honestly my sister was on the verge of tears, it was horribly embarrassing.

Everybody knows, now, that Alec Baldwin has a history of screaming at people. But at the time we had no idea. Don’t get me wrong, my sister shouldn’t have yelled at Tina Fey like that, but the way Alec snapped was straight up scary, like he was about to physically hurt her.

Salma Hayek and some other lady who I didn’t recognize came over and apologized to us. She asked if we wanted her to go and get Tina and get her autograph because apparently Tina felt bad too, but we said no.

She then talked to us about the food we were eating, which was mexican food, and we ended up having a brief conversation about NY’s lack of quality mexican food. She was INCREDIBLY charismatic and sweet.”

12. Detested.

“Had to work three months on a film with Jim Belushi.

I could sense within the first few minutes of being in his presence on set he was an a**hole. His behavior deteriorated till the end.

He was detested by everyone on the crew including the cast. The movie, “Change of Heart”… went straight to video. Jim Belushi is a d**khead supreme.”

People Talk About the Ordinary Things in Life That They Can’t Do

My younger brother can’t whistle. Not even close.

I know, I know, it’s a sad, sad thing to admit, but he just can’t seem to get the hang of it…after practicing for decades.

Poor guy…we all feel a little bit sorry for him…

What are some normal and ordinary things in life that you just can’t seem to get the hang of?

Here’s how people on AskReddit responded.

1. Me neither!

“Tell left and right in an instant every time.

I get there eventually and sometimes I get there quicker but I don’t feel like I just know the way other people seem to.”

2. Not picking up on it.

“Read facial expressions or detect tone of voice.

I can pick up those things in people I’m very familiar with, but in others, it’s borderline impossible.

It’s a lot easier in anime though, because those exaggerated expressions are pretty easy to read.”

3. That’s kinda hard.

“Finger whistle.

I need to get on the ball.

This 2 year old keeps growing.”

4. Please stop that.

“Sing.

I am completely tone-deaf to any noise coming out of my mouth.

I am so bad, people have actually asked me to stop singing.”

5. That’s weird.

“Cry.

My body stops it before I ever start.”

6. Not a big math person.

“The multiplication table, never learned it.

And yes I have a Bachelors degree in business and economics.

Turns out knowing the multiplication table isn’t that important.”

7. No license to drive.

“In my late 20’s without a driver’s license.

With the cost of a car, car payments, insurance, gas, parking, etc., I don’t really regret anything.

With the pandemic making everything online, I don’t really leave my place at all. This current situation makes me VERY content with not having a license.”

8. Clueless.

“I have no idea how “investments” work.

I work, I have money, I like what it can get me.

But my wife invests, and I have no idea how that sh*t works.”

9. Irrational fear.

“Dive.

I have an irrational, physical fear of going upside down. In college, a guy picked me up and swung me around, just horsing around, like boys do, (or did in the 80’s, ahem) and I blacked out.

No upside down for me. can do headstand in yoga, but no handstand…diving into a pool? nope. Still not.”

10. I’m gonna be sick!

“Wash dirty dishes.

The concept of someone else’s, or even my own dirty wet food on a plate grosses me out to the point of near-vomiting.”

11. High anxiety.

“I can’t call anyone.

I haven’t been to a dentist or eye doctor in years because when I think of calling people, I get incredibly anxious and scared.”

12. You’ve even watched videos.

“I’m honestly really embarrassed to admit it, but I’ve never figured out how to tie my shoes correctly.

I’ve watched videos, read how to articles, but I never seem to be able to get it right. Whenever I did tie them, they were just a standard square knot with a bunch of leftover shoelace so I’d just tuck the leftover lace under my feet to hide it.

The most embarrassing incident was in high school when a girl who we had a mutual liking of each other asked me to tie her shoe in a flirting/joking way. I was nervous because on the one hand she was clearly into me and I didn’t want to be rude and brush her off, but on the other hand I was internally panicking because I literally had no freaking clue how to do it.

So in an attempt to pass it off as a joke, I tied them in the same square knot fashion I did mine and laughed in the hopes that she thought it was a joke, but I think she saw right through that facade and thought I was stupid, so she slowly stopped talking to me after that.

Nowadays I just wear sandals and slip on shoes and nobody really seems to really notice or care, but it’s one of the most basic life skills you’re supposed to learn as a kid that I never did learn and still don’t know even though I’m 21 and seem outwardly intelligent otherwise.”

People Discuss Companies They Think Are Terrible and That Folks Need to Know About

As you know, we live in a cancel culture these days, and that doesn’t only pertain to people.

It seems like it has bled into everything now, including companies.

And you know that people are going to have a lot to say about this.

What companies do you think are terrible and people need to know about them?

Here’s how AskReddit users responded.

1. A lot of complaints about this one.

“Nestle is literally digging under some “dehydrated” countries and when they get the water the only way the people who live there can get some is by working in their factories and then they get a ONE LITER BOTTLE for their whole village.”

2. Wow.

“WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT GOODWILL.

They are LEGALLY able to pay their employees with disabilities (Down syndrome, etc.) less than minimum wage, sometimes cents to the hour. And their pay gets cut even more if they’re not productive enough!

For a company whose profit margins are insane because they don’t purchase their goods I was honestly hurt to know that that money goes to the CEOs at the cost of unfair wages to American people.”

3. Cola wars.

“Coca Cola – hired killers to shoot union leaders in South America and also produces more waste than almost anyone else.

Pepsi – instigated the CIA Coup in Chile on 11.Sep.1972. A decade long military dictatorship followed.”

4. No!

“Oreo.

They changed their recipe from I think it was normal oil, to coconut oil, which is cheaper.

And so, because the demand is so high, and they need giant coconut plantations, they are taking down jungles in Africa to plant coconut palms, and that is destroying environments, killing species, and displacing tribes.”

5. Interesting…

“The Wounded Warrior Project.

They spend an absurd amount of money on suing other non profits that have either wounded, warrior, or a combination of the two in their name.

Non-profits that are actually trying to make an actual difference not just trying to shovel merch.”

6. Big profits.

“The Geo Group company.

They own thousands of private incarceration facilities and make profit off of selling beds at a nightly rate to the local counties.”

7. A monopoly.

“Comcast.

I’d rather have slower internet than be forced into their data capped monopoly.”

8. Bad for local business.

“Uber Eats, Door Dash, and the like.

Third party delivery apps are killer for local businesses. My family owns a restaurant and we were approached by an Uber Eats rep. The wanted a 30% cut of all sales made in the app (pretty typical for most of them, though I’ve heard they sometimes ask for up to 40%).

Our profit margin is ~10%, which is pretty standard for local restaurants from what I understand. Luckily, we already have a delivery service in place, but for some, it’s the only option they have and they’re getting absolutely robbed blind by these sh**ty companies.”

9. A huge one.

“Amazon.

They treat their employees like c**p, i.e. overworking them, treating them like less than dog c**p and basically threatening to fire anyone who even mentions the word ‘union’. They also treat the DSPs worse than their own employees which is why a lot of people tend to quit.

Micromanaging the drivers with the Mentor driving app, firing drivers for not delivering all their packages yet telling them if it is not able to be delivered, then bring it back to the station.

They even have options in the Amazon app for customers to rate their delivery and if a customer gives anything below a 5 star, they get in trouble. Get 3, you’re done. Can’t back up while delivering and if you absolutely have to, you can’t go over 5 miles an hour even while on an incline. Do that, you get fired. It’s really not worth working for Amazon.”

10. Scammers.

“Peloton.

Terrible warranty for the price, and if you move your machine from where they set it up the warranty is void.

Their 30 day in home trial is a scam.”

11.

“Reinhart Foodservice.

Backstory:

One of their drivers killed a few people on the interstate about ten years ago because he didn’t notice that traffic had stopped for road work and mangled a couple sedans. He didn’t notice because his head was below the dash as he fumbled around for another energy drink. He also didn’t have his corrective lenses in his possession. Real professional.

Anyway, my issue with Reinhart as a company is that immediately after the collision, the dummy driver crawled down from his cab, in full view of his mangled victims, and called… 911? No. He called Reinhart. And what was Reinhart’s first reaction?

They sent their corporate lawyer to the scene. Because, you know, starting to build a legal liability shield is what’s most important when the bodies are still pinned in the wrecks. Two of the victims were a pregnant lady and her unborn.

Reinhart Foodservice supplies restaurants, so it’s not like I can personally boycott their business, but I otherwise would.”

12. Forever 21.

“I used to work at Forever 21. Here are some common issues that happened.

1.) When items were not selling ripping them and damaging them out. Also damaging things that people were trying to return and blaming it on them so they couldn’t even get store credit.

2.) Selling leather harnesses, fishnet stalkings, leather mini skirts, and other things for 5 year olds. And having to watch people dress up their 5 year olds in the changing rooms and help them as they tried to make them s**ier. Then being told if I acted repulsed I would be fired.

3.) Being physically locked in the store after my shift ended and forced to stay late unpaid and clean.

4.) Being given shifts only if I spent enough money, and not being allowed to return anything even for store credit because I worked there, but being encouraged not to try things on because it wasted time of whoever was working.

5.) Being yelled at and called stupid, retarded and lazy less than 5 minutes into my shift because clothes were left in fitting rooms.

6.) Being paid less than my newer male coworker because I am a woman and he was a male. Manager told me he deserved higher pay for being a man in retail. Retail is hard for men.

7.) Having manager from 5 and 6 putting me back on probation without telling me so company could not recommend me for promotion and I would be passed up. Also so she could try to fire me and I wouldn’t be able to fight back.

8.) Having coworker who agreed with me that manager sucked forced to work warehouse and banned from talking to coworkers or she would be fired.

Eventually the entire store band together and got Canadian labour laws involved. It was a fun time. There is more than this, it was wild.”

Do you have any companies that you refuse to give money to?

If so, tell us which ones in the comments.

Please and thank you!

People Talk About the Netflix Series They Will Always Recommend to Friends and Family

Netflix is really pumping out the original content these days.

Every time I scroll through their page, there are tons of new shows that I haven’t seen yet.

But if I only had more time to pick out the good from the bad…

Hey, I think these responses are a good start!

AskReddit users shared the Netflix series they like to recommend to people.

1. Don’t leave us hanging!

“I was gripped watching Mindhunter, so good.

How are they gona leave it like they did though.

I need more.”

2. Hilda.

“Hilda!

It’s just such a chill vibe, and love the fantasy element.

It’s the perfect thing to put on if you just want to calm down and let your brain shut off (in a good way).”

3. Very popular.

“Derry Girls.

In case anyone hasn’t heard yet they FINALLY have a filming schedule for the third season of Derry Girls!!”

4. Excellent all around.

“Dead to Me.

Incredible acting, dark but funny, suspenseful, just excellent all around.”

5. Have you seen it?

“‘The Last Kingdom’ is excellent.

Its based on the Danish invasion of England. Great pacing, lots of intrigue in the plot and the relationship between the main character and king Alfred and the production value is solid.”

6. Absorbing.

“Dark. It’s a very complex and absorbing show about time travel and paradoxes in a small German town.

It might not be for everyone, as it is a lot to take in. But it wraps up the story satisfyingly in 3 short seasons, instead of dragging on endlessly, which is nice, and I also think the acting, character arcs, soundtrack/score and cinematography are all great.

It’s the kind of show you need to really pay attention to or else nothing will make sense. I recommend watching it in the original German with subtitles. The dub tracks are terrible.”

7. A great one!

“Narcos.

My favorite show on Netflix by far. Took me about 5 min before I forgot they’re not speaking in english.

I fell off at Mexico though, like I felt like everything would be a letdown after the craziness of Pablo Escobar.”

8. Light-hearted.

“Kim’s Convenience. I can’t believe no one ever talks about it.

Also it isn’t stressfully drama and tragedy filled. Just light hearted family comedy that isn’t over the top.”

9. Sounds cool.

“Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts.

Cartoon with a dope soundtrack, amazing plot and super funny.”

10. Big fan.

“Peaky Blinders.

My husband kept trying to get me into it. I resisted…. at first. Now I’m obsessed.

It’s dark, delicious, and gory.”

11. Interesting.

“Aggretsuko.

It follows a red panda named Retsuko dealing with daily struggles at a typical office job, like annoying coworkers, mean boss, etc.

But has a secret passion of letting her anger out by singing heavy metal karaoke at night.”

12. Crime gem.

“American Vandal.

This was such a great show especially with the rise of the true crime genre.

That show is a true gem. Loved everything about it. Bummed it was cancelled but maybe it was better off.”

13. Hard-hitting.

“After Life.

Hard hitting for someone who has felt lost after losing someone they desperately loved but full of Ricky’s humor.”

14. Makes you think.

“Black Mirror. It’s just too thought provoking to ignore

I can only watch one episode at a time. Each episode really hits hard!”

15. For your consideration.

“Dark

End of the f***ing world season 1

Stranger Things

Umbrella Academy

Ozark

Russian Doll

Mind hunter

Queens Gambit

The Witcher.”

Have You Ever Had a Co-Worker From Hell? Here’s How Folks Responded.

I know my answer!

I used to work with a guy who I’ll call “Jimmy” who was, without a doubt, the biggest scumbag I’ve ever met in my entire life.

He made every day a living Hell and, on top of that, he sucked at his job so he dragged the rest of us down with him.

Ugh, I’m so glad I never have to see that guy ever again as long as I live.

AskReddit users talked about the terrible co-workers they’ve had to deal with.

Let’s take a look.

1. OH MY GOD.

“I had a 50 year old colleague who would message women on sugar baby apps and rub one out over his trousers. Saw him blow his load in the open office. He sat next to me.

Kept on happening, reported it. He said he had a genital rash, but admitted to ‘messaging people on social media’. I got in trouble for my accusations.

Fast forward 8 months, he’s sitting opposite me now. He starts rubbing one out in the open office again. I recorded him. Showed my manager, and he was finally fired.

He was a c*nt, too.”

2. A real monster.

“Blonde monster peaked in high school.

Has been at her job too long, and tries to control everyone.

My job has a high turnover in this one office but they refuse to believe it’s her.”

3. Got a problem?

“She didn’t officially work at my store’s location.

She was supposed to be at another location training to be a manager there, but her predecessor was still working at said location and the upper management/boss didn’t want too many people working there at once. So she had to work at my store’s location instead.

As soon as she started, she had a problem with me. I don’t know why, I’ll never understand why. I suspect my resting b*tch face had something to do with it. She essentially bullied me from the get-go and when I told my manager about it, she claimed nothing could be done since the rude lady wasn’t officially under my manager.

So one day the b*tch started bumping into me and saying “You have a problem with me? Let’s take it outside.” Etc. I was half her size, I’ve never fought in my life outside of sibling squabbles, and I have terrible social anxiety. So I went to the bathroom, called my S/O to come pick me up, grabbed my things, and walked out on my shift. I didn’t say a word to anyone and left her there alone during lunch rush.

I later learned from my friend who also worked there than my manager didn’t blame me, and officially, like on the papers, she said I left for “personal reasons”. She was a nice woman and I don’t blame her for not being able to do anything.

Upper management at this chain was very irresponsible and didn’t seem to care about that store location whatsoever (checks came in late almost every week, we weren’t allowed to have more than two people working in the store at a time, didn’t always have enough budget to order food/supplies, etc)

I’m never working for that man’s chain again. I may work for the same store, but I’m not going to work if it’s one of the locations that asshole owns.”

4. Personal shoppers.

“Girl I worked with when I was a personal shopper. She tried to get me fired a couple of times because she saw I was moving up faster than her.

We both got sent to work at a different location for a couple of months and she went around bad-mouthing me to anyone who would listen, so they thought I was a sh*t employee and she was amazing. I proved myself with my work ethic and they realized she was a liar and it definitely changed their opinion of her.

I ended up going to a different location and when she went back to our original location she continued to say horrid things about me. My co-workers took my side and called her out on her BS. She left not long after on a bad note with them.”

5. B*tching.

“Can’t go home unless I pass over my reports to the next person face to face.

One particular b*tch loves coming in late. Not 5 or 10 minutes late, I’m talking 25 to 30 minutes late.

Best part, she loves b*tching about how everyone is always on her ass for coming in late.

She literally lives 5 minutes walk away from work, so no one knows why she’s always late.”

6. One upper.

“This woman who was one of those people who always had to one up you.

Like if you cut your thumb off, she was just recently sawed in half.

She was constantly complaining and miserable and it was so draining.”

7. Yikes.

“Had a colleague who genuinely enjoyed seeing people not do well and enjoyed when people felt uncomfortable.

She was very manipulative, and is actually quite good at it. She would ask you questions and sympathize with whatever you’ve got going on, only to turn around and tell everyone what you just confessed to her.

After about 2-3 months with the company, if she hasn’t already somehow screwed you over, you’ve heard enough about her to know that if you don’t want the rest of the room to find out, then you don’t tell her.

Yeah, I’m talking about you Carolina.”

8. Get lost!

“She almost got me fired because she wanted to find the weakest looking guy to be her little errand boy.

When I told her politely to go screw herself, she told HR that I had been taking work out of her queue in the system.

It wasn’t a very good lie though, because why would I want to do more work than I have to? I even said this to HR in the disciplinary meeting.”

9. Jeez!

“He was in his 50s, had often uncontrolled diabetes, was 6’4″ tall. I was 24, and a foot shorter.

Normally he was a teddy bear but when his blood sugar got low he would get violent. He tried throwing punches at me for suggesting he get a coke from the vending machine in the hall (good thing he’s slow and clumsy in that state).

When we were in the truck together once, and it started making a weird sound, I wanted to take it into the shop and he insisted we didn’t need to by yelling at me and pounding his fists on the dash, but we were going to a remote area and I didn’t want to have to try and find help if the truck broke down and the radio didn’t work.

I had to call search and rescue on him once because he didn’t come back to the truck after doing a transect (biology job). You guessed it, he had low blood sugar and was not able to find his way back to the truck. He had no education or experience in biology, but he just couldn’t be fired from his job driving a plow. With his propensity to let himself get hypoglycemic, he couldn’t drive either.

So they shuffled him to the wildlife department because he had an interest in wildlife. I was basically his babysitter.”

10. Never forget…

“I’ll never forget the 22ish year old girl who spent hours of one shift telling me, with no prompting at all, about how she used to be a raging heroin addict but she was over it now and had become extremely religious.

She went into very explicit detail about her drug deals and the things she’d done to get drugs. My shy homeschooled *ss was stunned.

The very next day she got fired for stealing 20 dollars from the cash register.”

11. A nightmare.

“I work with a woman who is threatened by other women, especially if they are younger and have more education than her.

She consistently tries to discourage women from furthering their education, and constantly tries to get women she is threatened by fired.

She is a nightmare.”

People Talk About What Actors and Actresses They Thought Were Totally Wrong for Roles They Played

Have you ever been watching a movie and said to yourself, “why was this person cast in this role? What were they thinking?!?!”

It happens all the time!

But I guess there’s bound to be some misfires out there in the world of moviemaking, right?

What actor or actress did you think was totally wrong for a role?

Here’s how AskReddit users responded.

1. Hmmm…

“Everyone in The Last Airbender movie.

specially considering the fact that they took the Waterbenders (canonically the nation with the darkest skin coloring) and made all of them white, then made the Firebenders dark-skinned.”

2. Ouch.

“Steven Seagal as a person who can kick *ss.”

3. No chemistry.

“Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the 50 Shades trilogy

Aside from the movies being absolutely sh*tty, the two had no chemistry with each other and it was awkward as hell to watch.

More so when I found out that Jamie was married while filming those movies. The movies shouldn’t have even been made.”

4. Awesome except for him.

“Dane DeHaan – Valerian.

That move is pretty awesome except for him, it felt entirely miscast and I couldn’t believe this guy was the kind of character they were making him out to be.”

5. I can tell…

“The movie hasn’t even come out yet but Kevin Hart is playing Roland in the new Borderlands movie.

I can already tell you right now, it’s gonna be a terrible f*cking time.”

6. Sounds hilarious.

“John Wayne as Genghis Khan (The Conqueror).

That is just wrong on so many levels, I don’t know where to start.”

7. Oh, boy…

“Remember that James Bond movie where Denise Richards plays a nuclear physicist?”

8. Bad idea.

“Is it now the time to talk about Topher Grace as Eddie Brock/Venom?

Who in the ever loving f*ck decided it would be a good idea to cast ERIC FOREMAN as Venom ???”

9. Agreed!

“Cameron Diaz in Gangs of New York.

It’s the only time I’ve really been pulled out of a movie because the casting didn’t seem right.”

10. Mr. Depp.

“Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.

Not because of the whole situation around it, but after reading the books and the cameos in Potter, I just don’t see him as Grindelwald, just as albino Depp.”

11. Blew it.

“Shia Leboeuf in The Crystal Skull.

That part should’ve been Short Round as an adult.”

12. No disrespect, but…

“Why the f*ck was Jessie Eisenberg cast as Lex Luthor of all f*cking things?

All depictions of him are of a tall, bald, and lean businessman.

No disrespect for the actor, I’d take such a high paying job too, but whoever thought of casting him is a clown.”

13. Terrible.

“Kristen Stewart as Snow White in Snow White and the Hunstman.

Terrible.”

14. Wrong choice.

“This might be less obvious but I hate Dwayne Johnson’s portrayal of Hercules.

He has the perfect body for it yes but it doesn’t mean he embodies the character.

I have the perfect body to play Lemony Snickett but doesn’t mean I should.”

15. Hahahaha.

“John Wayne as Genghis Khan in “The Conquerer” might be the worst casting in world history.

He doesn’t even try to hide his accent.

You keep expecting him to say “partner” every 15 seconds.”

Toxic Behaviors That Society Pretends Are Romantic

If you ask me, there are way too many things in the books and movies that are made out to be romantic but are decidedly not at all. Most of them we can let slide, because everyone deserves their weird fantasies and whatever, but when those norms start to slide into reality, maybe it’s time to call them out.

That’s what singer and songwriter Naya Ford thought, anyway, when she posed the question “What’s something that people glamorize that’s actually just extremely toxic” on TikTok.

@nayaaford

What’s something that glamorized but is ✨toxic✨ #NewYearNewMiO #WordsOfWisdom #toxic #withouttellingme #fyp

♬ original sound – Naya A Ford

Naya started with wanting a boyfriend or girlfriend that’s rude to others (so no one will try to steal them away), and plenty of others piled on after that.

Here are 10 answers that are totally on point, so don’t believe what you hear!

10. Trying to change people.

“People who think it’s a goal or make it their mission to change someone. Not only is that a waste of your both their time because in my personal opinion people don’t change they become what they were supposed to be. In some instances you can help somebody to help who they are or whatever but at the end of the day they did it themselves, honestly I don’t think you get to take that credit.

You are taking their moment of self discovery or their self-love and acting like it’s your responsibility, or that you’re the reason for it. Not saying that you can make somebody happy, but at the end of the day happiness with oneself must be found by oneself. They have to to realize that they’re happy you can’t make it happen. So to think that you can change someone, their attitude, their style, whatever you can possibly to all that but it’s not gonna do as much good as you think.

At the end of the day you are turning them what you want them to be instead of who they’re meant to be and that’s selfish.”

9. Being blunt – to a fault.

“Y’all please because imma need y’all to listen to this one real quick. One of the biggest pet peeves of mine and it comes a lot in friendships and is the reason why a lot of my friendships have ended is that people will try to pass off being a complete a-hole as them being “blunt.”

My thing is I get the whole “I like to tell how it is” type of thing BUT there’s a difference between telling people how it is and completely bringing everyone around you and I thing a lot of people get that mixed up. And what really bothers me is that a lot of people won’t see the wrong in them doing this.

And then they have the nerve to be surprised when no one wants to be around them. Like sis maybe if you didn’t point out all my insecurities.”

8. Taking people for granted.

“For me, it’s people who think that caring the least is cool and [that] it gives you an upper hand over people who care about you. That’s so toxic. If you value them and want them in your life, show up for them in your way — in the best way you can. But don’t treat people less than just because you know they care about you and they’ll be there for you.

Don’t [take them for granted] because you think they’ll always be there, because one day you’ll wake up and they won’t be. And let’s care about people who care about us, and let’s show up for each other.”

7. Shopping away your feelings.

“Impulse shopping isn’t a problem. It’s a symptom of a deeper problem.”

6. Being a “ride or die.”

It’s fine to be there, no questions, but…sometimes you should really ask a few questions, don’t you think?

5. Working more than one job.

“Working two or three jobs just to survive and make ends meet so you don’t even have time for your family.”

4. Not looking for new friends.

“This concept of ‘no new friends’ — we gotta cut that out. You close yourself off from meeting people who could become a better friend than the one that you have. ‘Cause that friend is probably toxic.”

3. Treating mental health issues like a fun personality quirk.

“Mental health issues. Having a mental issues is not a little quirk of personality, no that’s not it. And it’s the same people that get upset when people don’t take their mental health seriously but when you treat is as a quirk who is gonna take it seriously.

Those people that literally sit there and brag about having depression, oh yeah I haven’t cleaned my room in a week because I have depression, oh yeah I haven’t showered in like a couple of days because I have depression. Like OKAY see therapist.”

2. Having a rude significant other.

“When people say, ‘I want a significant other that is rude and mean and not friendly to anybody.’ Girl, no one’s gonna cheat on you. It’s okay”

1. Acting like your marriage is perfect.

“The perfect marriage that you think you have, that you post all over social media. You’re trying to set some kind of standard that’s impossible. Marriage is hard; it’s not always fun. It takes patience and work and compromise.

And if you have issues in your marriage, you’re not broken — you’re normal. Because no one in marriage is perfect.”

We definitely need to stop pretending all of these things are cool, asap.
