Take a Look at “The Avengers” Performed Perfectly by a High School Dance Squad

This is wonderful!

The PAC Dance Team of Arizona’s Walden Grove High School recently went viral with a perfectly executed The Avengers dance routine. This comes a year after they went viral for a Harry Potter themed dance. In fact, this is their third time their choreography and costumes have taken over the internet – so they’re very legit.

This time, the PAC Dance Team dazzled at their Homecoming assembly with a routine based on Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The dancers were out of this world. Watch below:

The group performed to hits like Snap Yo Fingers by Lil Jon, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, and Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys. They also included dialogue from both films for added drama.

For seven minutes, dancers battled it out, good guys versus bad, for control of the universe, with the Avengers emerging victorious (obviously).

Since its posting last week, the video has amassed over 2.5 million views. And it’s no wonder! These dancers are so talented and creative, and they really know how to please a crowd.

A few years ago, the troupe auditioned for America’s Got Talent with a dance inspired by Wizard of Oz. That performance was their first to go viral – the video got almost 3.8 million views.

Their Harry Potter routine started with a scene showing Harry in his cupboard under the stairs, then ends with his sorting into Gryffindor House. That video got around 12 million views.

THE HERMIONE GRANGER shared our video?! Wow!! Thank you Emma Watson!!

Dancing is one of those universal languages, like music and art. Everyone loves to move and see movement with choreography, fun costumes and exciting themes. Wouldn’t it be great if other groups, whether schools or clubs, challenged each other to come up with more of these over the top productions?

Because we clearly cannot get enough.

A Man Opened a Can of Heinz Beans…And Found One Single Bean

If you’re from the U.S., you might not believe a man went home looking forward to cooking the last can of Heinz Beanz in his cupboard.

Apparently, blokes across the pond enjoy a can of beanz for dinner now and again – and it was just what 41-year old lawyer Steve Smith fancied that night after a long day of work.

But inside the can was just a bunch of savory bean juice and one, lonely bean.

Luckily for Steve (and all of us), this happened in 2019 and not 1999, because at least instead of tossing the can and grumbling to himself, he could take his woes to Twitter.

He tweeted a video of his sad attempt at dinner, tagging Heinz before chucking the beans idea and making some eggs, instead.

Steve told The Independent, “I thought it was funny – but annoying. I thought they might see the funny side.”

The jury is out on whether or not Heinz found the incident even slightly amusing, but they did ask for details on the can and offer an apology.

An average can of Heinz Beanz, in case you were wondering, contains around 465 beanz.

Which is…a lot of beanz. Enough to fill you up, I guess!

Here’s hoping Steve’s eggs were just as delicious that night, and that a lifetime supply of beanz are on their way to Bristol, England, right now!

The Cinderella Latte has been around since 2018 when a Seattle-area barista who’d worked at Starbucks for 7 years came up with the drink, but it has kind flown under the radar, so here’s your chance to order it the right way and be a happier person.

Ready? Okay. Since this is a secret-menu kind of deal, you can’t just order a Cinderella Latte when you hit your local Starbucks. It’s a little more complicated than that. Pay attention, because you don’t want to BLOW IT. Listen carefully:

  • Order a Pumpkin Spice Latte (I’m sure you know how to do that).
  • Substitute White Chocolate Mocha for half the pumps of Pumpkin Sauce (so you’ll get two pumps of Pumpkin Sauce and two pumps of White Chocolate Mocha).

If you don’t consider yourself a latte person, you can also order this combination as an iced latte or as a frappucino. You can also mix up the pumps if you really want to. Try four pumps of Pumpkin Sauce and four of White Chocolate Mocha, or maybe just one of each if you don’t have an intense sweet tooth.

Give the Cinderella Latte a shot and enjoy fall! It’s right around the corner!

A Young Girl Asked for Green Army Women and the Toy Company Listened

You probably played with those famous little green Army men at one point or another – especially if you’re a male. But the Army men toy game was recently turned on its head when BMC Toys, the company that manufactures those little green guys, received a letter from a 6-year-old girl from Arkansas.

The little girl, Vivian Lord, sent a letter to the company that read, “My name is Vivian. I am six years old. Why do you not make girl army men. Some girls don’t like pink, so please can you make army girls that look like women? I would play with them every day and my friends would too!”

And the folks at BMC Toys took notice and decided to do something about it.

Posted by BMC Toys on Saturday, September 7, 2019

The President of BMC Toys, Jeff Imel, said, “It was a heartfelt letter. And it reminded me of being a kid and always wanting that toy that you couldn’t get in the gumball machine. So I really looked into it.”

Imel said the company did some research and decided to produce a line of female soldier toys that will be available by Christmas 2020. The new female army toys will come in four poses.

Imel said, “What’s been really surprising to me is how many women have contacted me since Vivian’s story aired on national television to say they wish they had little Green Army Women when they were children back in the ’60s.”

Posted by BMC Toys on Monday, September 2, 2019

It wasn’t an easy decision either. Imel is the only full-time employee at BMC and he explained the process: “I have to pay the sculptor. I have to pay the tooling. I have to make a down payment on production. If it’s coming from China, it’s on a boat for five weeks. By the time you figure out the cost of everything involved in making an original set of plastic toy figures in this size,” he said. “It starts around the cost of a modest new car.”

Imel added, “Every kid wants to be the hero of their story. It shouldn’t be up to us to decide who the hero is. Girls should be able to connect to the toys just as much as boys do.”

It may be pricey, but it will obviously be worth it once these toys hit the market. And it’s all due to young Vivian Lord’s decision to step up and write a letter. I have a feeling this girl is going to be a real trailblazer!

I can’t wait to see what the toys look like when they’re completed!

A Girl Sent an Adorable Apology Letter for Taking a Rock from a National Park

I bet you didn’t know that you’re not allowed to take rocks — or any other specimens —out of a U.S. National Park. It’s against the rules, but unsurprisingly, a lot of people sneakily do it anyway. It’s hard to resist carrying home a memento, which is how one young girl ended up taking a rock home from the Great Smoky Mountains.

The girl, Karina, felt so bad afterward that she sent the rock back along with an apology letter, which has since gone viral on Facebook.

“Dear Park Ranger, Deep Creek was awesome! I especially liked Tom Branch Falls,” Karina wrote in her letter. “I loved it so much, I wanted to have a souvenir to come home with me.”

Posted by Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Saturday, August 17, 2019

Karina went on to apologize: “I’m sorry, and I want to return it.”

She also included a donation to the park, plus a lovely drawing on the back of the letter.

Posted by Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Saturday, August 17, 2019

The park rangers were so charmed by Karina’s letter that they wrote her back and shared her note on Facebook. They explained why it’s so important not to take rocks from parks.

“Thank you for recognizing that what is in the park should stay in the park. If every visitor took a rock home, that would mean 11 million rocks would be gone from the park every year! The park would definitely not be as beautiful as it was before,” they wrote.

Posted by Great Smoky Mountains National Park on Saturday, August 17, 2019

“Rocks in the Smokies also provide homes for hundreds of creatures, including salamanders! By leaving rocks where they are, we’re helping protect these special homes as well as the beauty of the park.”

The exchange has likely left a lasting impression on Karina — and for the thousands of people who have reacted to the letter on Facebook. Lesson learned: never take rocks from a national park, and if you do, mail it back with an adorable letter and all will be forgiven.

A Man Broke into a House, Cooked Breakfast and Told the Resident to ‘Go Back to Sleep’

Awwwww, isn’t this nice?

This might be the most wholesome crime ever. A man in Florida broke into someone’s home and cooked himself a nice breakfast. When the resident woke up, the burglar simply told them to “go back to sleep.”

Perhaps the burglar didn’t offer to make the resident a plate because they were not happy about the whole situation. They went on to call 911.

The suspect, Gavin Crim, is a 19-year-old Marine. He allegedly entered the house through an unlocked back door while the resident was asleep, according to local deputies. The resident discovered him in their kitchen, cooking and eating, sometime after 4 a.m. on a Tuesday morning.

After the resident threatened to call 911, Gavrin fled from the scene. Deputies tracked him down in a wooded swamp area behind the house. He was arrested and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling. He has since been released on a $1000 bond, and officers say he confessed to the burglary.

It’s not clear what Gavin’s motive was, but an arrest report mentioned that Gavin may have been under the influence of alcohol, which kind of explains the situation. A few stiff drinks could totally inspire you to enter a random house in search of waffles!

The resident didn’t specify what kind of breakfast the burglar made, but it’s safe to say that he probably didn’t do the dishes.

Canadians Crowdfunded $3 Million to Save Pristine Land from Development

Hey, people in the U.S.: take the time to read this article and maybe we can follow the lead of our neighbors to the north on this, okay?

It’s always incredibly depressing to see untouched, pristine wilderness get purchased and developed by huge, wealthy corporations. Which is why people in Canada decided to take a stand to save 2,000 acres of beautiful coastline in British Columbia.

A crowdfunding effort raised $3 million to purchase the area of coastal wilderness in the Princess Louisa Inlet in British Columbia. The land is virtually untouched and citizens knew they only had one shot to make this work.

The crowdfunding was organized by the B.C. Parks Foundation, a group that works to protect natural landscapes. Logging companies and developers expressed interest in buying the gorgeous land after it was put up for sale by a private owner.

This crowdfunding effort wasn’t just a couple of wealthy people chipping in, either. Average Canadians paid $10 or $15 here and there to contribute to saving the 2,000 acres – and clearly it worked!

The B.C. Parks Foundation will make the land a protected park for all to enjoy.

Dear Park Supporters, You did it! Your love for British Columbia and beautiful places like Princess Louisa Inlet has…

Posted by BC Parks Foundation on Tuesday, September 3, 2019

The organization wrote a letter expressing its gratitude to all the people who donated money.

“Dear Park Supporters,

You did it! Your love for British Columbia and beautiful places like Princess Louisa Inlet has done something miraculous. In just a few short months, you have raised $3 million to protect a jewel in B.C’.s coast.

We still have to finalize the sale with the vendor (now September 3rd), and there are more steps to come, but in donating the funds you have scaled a substantial peak on this amazing expedition.

We know people want to keep B.C. beautiful, and we know our parks are the core of our identity. They are our cathedrals, our towers, our pyramids; the wonders of our world. But we couldn’t have predicted such a fabulous outpouring in such a short time from so many different people and places. We are in a state of awe and gratitude.

We will keep you posted when the deal is finalized. Any funds that continue to come in will be put in our Parks Bank to protect more areas in Princess Louisa and British Columbia.

With our deepest appreciation and admiration,

Ross Beaty, Board Chair
Andy Day, CEO”

Well done! More of this throughout the entire world, please!

A New TV Show Called ‘Murder House Flip’ Is like ‘Fixer Upper’ but for Crime Scenes

True crime fans, this is for you!

For me, this show is very exciting. I’ve been seeking out true crime locations since I was in high school, and if I’m in a new city I always try to visit the sites of infamous crimes.

Messed up? Maybe. But moving on…

A new tv show called Murder House Flip is coming soon, and true crime fans across the land are jumping for joy…as morbid as that sounds. The show will air on the mobile-streaming service Quibi that launches in April and, just like the title says, will focus on makeovers of homes where murders took place.

Like I said, a true crime fan’s dream come true.

The episodes, like all programs on Quibi, will be short, about 10 minutes in length. The show comes from CSI producer Josh Berman, author Katherine Ramsland, and Chris King, producer of Penny Dreadful.

The show will feature a “colorful cast of forensic specialists, spiritual healers and high-end renovation experts,” according to a press release. “[They’ll] uncover the crimes, shocking secrets and scandalous history of the homes.”

Elyse Seder of Sony Pictures Television said, “We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind series to life and dive into a world that combines America’s two biggest TV obsessions: true crime and home renovation.”

I can’t wait to see what locations are chosen. Infamous crimes? Little-known murder mysteries? Whatever it is, Murder House Flip promises to be a welcome addition to the endless wave of true crime shows currently on the airwaves.

I have to say I’m thrilled to see how this show will turn out!

Target Has a New Loyalty Program with Cash Back and Birthday Rewards

We know how you feel about Target: You’re obsessed with shopping there (and just walking around and browsing there, too, apparently). So it’s pretty smart for the chain to start a loyalty program because you know, just like I do, that you’re going to spend about $100 in there every time, even if you just walked in to buy some laundry detergent. We can’t help it, okay?

On October 6, the store is launching the Target Circle program that comes with all kinds of incentives for customers. Let’s get into the details…

You can earn 1% on all your purchases that you can redeem later. And trust me, that adds up. Also, you’ll get personalized deals and a birthday present.

Members of the program will also have access to special sales, and they’ll be able to vote on Target’s charitable contributions. And the best part? It’s totally free, so there’s no reason not to do it. If you already have an account at Target.com or a RedCard, you’ll be automatically enrolled in the program.

Rick Gomez, Target’s chief marketing and digital officer, said, “Our goal is to motivate all guests to choose Target more often by providing meaningful benefits.” Sounds like a plan to me.

The program launches in a few weeks, so maybe you should hold off on your next major Target run until after October 6, so you can score some sweet deals. I’ll see you shopping in the aisles!

The Kids Book ‘Go the F*Ck to Sleep’ Is Getting a Sequel

If you’re a parent or have spent a lot of time around kids, you know the nightly routine. Your kids are totally adorable and they mean the world to you, but you just want them to get some shut-eye so YOU can get some shut-eye. That’s why Adam Mansbach’s 2011 bedtime book Go the F*ck to Sleep was such a huge hit. Mansbach hit exactly the right nerve for exhausted parents who were ready to throw their hands up in the air.

Well, good new parents! The hit book is getting a sequel titled F*ck, Now There Are Two of You that will be released on October 1 by Akashic Books. The official description says, “The third installment in Adam Mansbach’s international best-selling Go the Fuck to Sleep series addresses, with radical honesty, the family implosion that occurs when a second child arrives.”

In 2014, Mansbach released another book in the F*ck series, You Have to F*cking Eat that details the challenges of getting your little monsters to eat a (hopefully) nutritious and delicious meal.

We’ll have to wait until October 1 to see what Mansbach’s new creation has in store for parents, but we can probably assume that it’s about how the family dynamics change when a second child is introduced into the mix.

One more thing we can speculate about right now until the book is released in a couple weeks: will Samuel L. Jackson do the audio narration for this new book like he did for Go the F*ck To Sleep back in 2011?

Let’s keep our fingers crossed on that one.

UPDATE: This is great. It’s been confirmed that none other than Larry David will record the audio narration for F*ck, Now There Are Two of You. I’d say that’s a pretty great choice.
