These Waiters Didn’t Delete Their “Receipt Comments” and Customers Outed Them on Social Media

Waiters are often on the receiving end of hostile customer behavior. We constantly see them serve up memes about customers who refuse to tip, leave filthy tables, and make unreasonable demands.

But restaurant servers are also human, and they also make some epic workplace mistakes.

One Steak ‘N Shake customer was surprised with a descriptor delineating their probable state of mind.

Now, being a waiter to a rowdy customer doesn’t sound like fun. It’s logical that servers occasionally have a laugh at the expense of the customer, but most people at least try to make sure they don’t get caught.

The next receipt is kinda worse though.

This receipt includes some harsh language, including observations about one of the customer’s genitals. That’s definitely never warranted and sure to cost the server a tip.

Would you believe that things can get worse?

One restaurant wrote a racial slur on the receipt for a customer.

Servers at this establishment certainly dropped the ball, made a customer angry, and their actions prompted a swift discussion.

These incidences are indefensible, but the reality is that servers are on the receiving end of rude comments far more often than their customers.

Here’s an example of a xenophobic comment:

Black servers are also often on the receiving end of racist comments from customers. This is reprehensible.

When it comes to communicating, it’s clear that customers and servers are both capable of being jerks. Be that as it may, the servers who dished out insults should still do better, but so do some customers!

What do you think of the way servers roasted some of these customers?

Your opinion is welcome in the comments section (though it’s doubly welcome if you’ve worked in the food industry).

“Mean” Joe Greene Met up With the Coca-Cola Kid 40 Years Later

A blast from the past!

During the 1979 Super Bowl, a commercial aired that forever remained with football fans.

In it, embattled Pittsburgh Steeler, “Mean” Joe Greene takes an icy-cold bottle of Coca-Cola offered by a 9-year old boy and downs the whole thing. When Greene notices the boy walking away dejected, he calls, “Hey kid.” Then throws the boy his jersey.

The commercial was a hit with so many connecting with the story of a tough football who really has a big heart meeting a young (and adorable) fan.

Forty years later, the commercial and its two stars, Greene and Tommy Okon, were reunited on CBS.

The two met at the Apogee Stadium in Denton, Tex. Greene recalled he drank 18 bottle of Coke to nail the scene. They also re-enacted the commercial and were both moved to tears. Especially Greene who said he couldn’t believe Okon was all grown up now.

”No way. It’s great to see you,” Greene says when he see Okon. “My God, look at you. I don’t need to look down here anymore.”

Okon responds he looks older than Greene, and the laughter and recollections of the commercial filming flowed from there.

Here’s the meeting…

Greene retired from the NFL after the the 1981 season. He’s remembered as a gridiron powerhouse and is honored in both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.

What do you remember about this famous spot? Do you have fond memories?

Why “Middle Child Syndrome” Isn’t Actually a Thing

We hear that middle children tend to develop undesirable traits because they don’t stand out in the same way as their elder or younger siblings. But is it true?

Reader’s Digest says most of the symptoms of “middle child syndrome” are hearsay.

Here are some reasons why…

5. They’re Talented

Middle children are known to be creative and inventive.

They’re statistically more open to new experiences than their elder siblings.

4. They Know How to Be Good Friends

Their position in the family’s birth order means they usually have to seek strong support systems outside of the family.

This means they learn to be better friends and romantic partners.

3. They Attract Other Middle Children

It’s possible that middle children develop characteristics that cause them to seek out other middle children for friendship or as significant others.

2. Middle Kids Check Their Egos

Middle children are associated with weaker self-esteem, and experts are rightfully concerned about this.

On the other hand, middle children are far less likely to be narcissistic than their elder or younger siblings. Studies show they can cope with rejection quite well as a result.

1. They Make Great Leaders

One study on presidents shows that up to 52% of them are middle children!

One hypothesis says this is because middle children can learn from older siblings, but they still play an important role in family life as well. After all, they still have to be a good example to their younger siblings!

Constantly learning and leading means that middle children are in a great position to keep learning.

These are all great things to hear, especially for middle children who’ve been getting a bad reputation over the years.

Do you agree or disagree about the existence of “middle child syndrome”? We’re ready to hear you out in the comments!

Baby Yoda Chia Pets Will Be Here Soon!

Oh yeah!

Cha-cha-cha Chia Pet! Remember that jingle!

Surely you remember the commercials, right?

RIGHT????!????

Alright, cut to 2020…

Everything related to Baby Yoda is so popular these days that it makes sense a Baby Yoda Chia Pet would be hitting the market for consumption. I am a personal fan of this amazing product and my Bob Ross Chia Pet has been a wonderful addition to my home.

At the recent New York Toy Fair, it was revealed that Chia Pet will be releasing a Baby Yoda version of its iconic product.

Baby Yoda rose to fame in recent months thanks to the little guy’s role in the hit show The Mandalorian.

This new (obviously awesome) product has “The Child” sitting in a planter and he looks very content to have all that green sprouting up around him.

What do you think? Are you gonna get your hands on one of these? I know I am!

There’s no official word yet about when this amazing addition to the Chia Pet family will be available, so keep your eyes and your ears open, people!

A Rare Hot Wheels Toy Is Worth an Incredible $100,000

When I see headlines like this, it makes me wish I never would’ve gotten rid of all my old toys, baseball cards, records, and anything else that I ditched when I thought I outgrew it. Doh!

Celebrity toy collector Joel Magee has an ultra-rare Hot Wheels Camaro toy car from 1968 that he says is worth as much as $100,000.

Posted by HYPEBEAST on Friday, February 7, 2020

What’s so special about it? First of all, the car is white. Designers at Mattel would put white enamel on prototype cars so they could check for imperfections. Only a few of these white prototypes were know to have been accidentally packaged and released to retailers.

In fact, the car Magee has is one of the original 16 models of the car that Mattel made in 1968.

Posted by TopGear TW 極速誌 on Thursday, February 6, 2020

Magee said, “I’ve collected toys forever and this Hot Wheels Camaro is the Holy Grail of collectibles. I am beyond excited to have found it to add to my vast collection. This car is so extremely rare that there is only one known example which is this one. Imagine something that originally sold for 59 cents now being worth upwards of $100,000!”

Posted by GP Garage on Tuesday, February 11, 2020

Magee said that he has no plans to sell the car and instead will take it to toy shows and media appearances throughout the country.

Talk about a lucky find! Keep your eyes open next time you’re out thrift shopping or you are poking around in your attic!

A Woman Got Feedback After Claiming She Was “Raised to Take Care of Her Husband”

Let’s just say up front that everyone’s relationship roles and dynamics are different, and if both partners are happy and fulfilled and it works for them, it’s no one’s business.

That said, once you put your business on Twitter and also use a somewhat judgy and sanctimonious tone that suggests your way is the right and good way and everyone else is dumb, well…expect feedback.

Twitter user Brylea Kay sent this tweet, claiming that she was raised to be an “old fashioned” wife who took care of her husband and made him dinner and cleaned the house, et al.

Let’s first point out that, due to her wording, we can assume dear Brylea has never been married (or added kids to the mix), so we will have to assume she’s like those people who have opinions on parenting before they attempt to tackle it themselves.

People had some thoughts.

Some excellent GIFS.

And just some plain hilarious responses to this dear heart thinking she knows anything about what it takes to stay happily married to another person who turns out to be way more annoying than you thought.

I mean, I kind of just want to give her a hug and tell her to get back to me in 15 years.

What do you think? Were people right? Piling on? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

A Guy Discovered that Not All People Have Internal Dialogue and His Mind Is Blown

It’s crazy how we remember things, or how logic thinking kicks in when moving from task to task. And what about when the brain triggers the flight or fight response in a moment of fear? The brain is so sophisticated that centuries of experimentation and research have occurred still leave scientists dumbfounded.

This viral tweet by @Kyleplantemoji might have you screaming, “WTH?”

For those who are wondering what he’s talking about, an internal narrative is:

“An internal monologue, also called self-talk, inner speech, inner discourse or internal discourse, is a person’s inner voice which provides a running verbal monologue of thoughts while they are conscious.

It is usually tied to a person’s sense of self. It is particularly important in planning, problem solving, self-reflection, self-image, critical thinking, emotions, and subvocalization (reading in one’s head).”

Already my mind is exploding!

What does it mean that some people can’t hear their voice in their head? I thought this was normal! Apparently it’s not.

This bothered Ryan Langdon so much he took to social media saying it “ruined his day” and wrote a blog post to deep dive into some Q&A he had with other people.

Okay, so yesterday I learned that some people do not have an inner monologue and do not "hear" their voice when they…

Posted by Ryan Langdon on Tuesday, January 28, 2020

He writes…

“My day was completely ruined yesterday when I stumbled upon a fun fact that absolutely obliterated my mind. I saw this tweet yesterday that said that not everyone has an internal monologue in their head.

All my life, I could hear my voice in my head and speak in full sentences as if I was talking out loud. I thought everyone experienced this, so I did not believe that it could be true at that time.

Literally the first person I asked was a classmate of mine who said that she can not “hear” her voice in her mind. I asked her if she could have a conversation with herself in her head and she looked at me funny like I was the weird one in this situation.

So I began to become more intrigued. Most people I asked said that they have this internal monologue that is running rampant throughout the day.

However, every once in a while, someone would say that they don’t experience this.”

He posted the receipts to prove the conversation…

WHAT? That is freaking crazy! Just words? How in the world…..?

“How do they get through the day? How do they read? How do they make decisions between choice A and choice B?

My friend described it as “concept maps” that she sees in her brain. Another friend says that she literally sees the words in her head if she is trying to think about something.

I was taking ibuprofen at this point in the day because my brain was literally unable to comprehend this revelation.

How have I made it 25 years in life without realizing that people don’t think like me?”

Don’t worry Ryan, you aren’t all alone in the world. There are plenty of us out there.

Still….

He continues…

“I posted a poll on instagram to get a more accurate assessment of the situation. Currently 91 people have responded that they have an internal monologue and 18 people reported that they do not have this.

I began asking those people questions about the things that they experience and it is quite different from the majority.

I would tell them that I could look at myself in the mirror and have a full blown telepathic conversation with myself without opening my mouth and they responded as if I had schizophrenia.

One person even mentioned that when they do voice overs in movies of people’s thoughts, they “wished that it was real.”

So how do folks without internal narration read books?

He wraps up by asking for further assistance in understanding this matter at hand.

“Whether people just have different definitions of their thoughts, or if people literally don’t have an internal monologue, there is one thing that we do know… you will definitely get a headache if you keep thinking about this.

Just trying to wrap my head around it is causing irreversible brain damage. I suggest asking people around you what they experience. If you are one of the few that do not have this internal monologue, please enlighten me, because I still do not understand life anymore.

Send help.”

You can take a peek at the full article on his webpage and the interesting one-on-one interview he does with a friend! So what are your “thoughts” about this? Assuming you have thoughts…

“Supreme” Brand Oreos Are Selling for Big Bucks on eBay

From what I’ve heard from my teen, if you slap the word “Supreme” on a hoodie, jacket or another piece of clothing, the value of that item explodes into something unaffordable and if he doesn’t get that hoodie he will be the laughingstock of the town.

So, I didn’t believe it…until now.

Folks, there are Supreme Oreos selling for thousands of actual dollars on eBay.

The mind boggles.

The first reporting on this insanity was by the New York Post who saw an eBay listing for the swank sandwich cookie starting at $4 and ended up selling for more than $2,600 for a a single three-pack of cookies. I’m assuming “new with tags.”

And then there’s this one for $4K…

And this one for $20K??!!

And this one for… wait for it… $69K?!?!?!?!

Officially, the costly cookies are described as, “Double Stuff OREO cookies with baked logo. 3 cookies per pack.” And, are listed as $8. NOT $8,000.

Question: how did these sellers get the cookies before their official launch? I’m guessing dark web.

So… question… how dumb are people who buy these? Completely dumb or just dumb and rich?

Let us know in the comments!

A Mom Was Charged With a Felony After Recording Daughter Licking Medical Supplies

A Florida mom has been charged with a felony after posting a video of her daughter licking a tongue depressor and then putting it back into the jar at the doctor’s office. Apparently, nobody learned anything useful from 2019’s ice cream challenge.

Corey Ward, 30, posted the video to her Snapchat with the caption “Don’t tell me how to live my life.”

After receiving backlash for obvious reasons, Ward tried to defend herself by explaining the difference between her daughter’s actions and the ice cream challenge. She claims that the contaminated items were thrown away after the video.

“The video doesn’t show that the items were thrown away or anything else that happened.

I posted this on my personal Snapchat with my 20-something friends, where someone allowed another person to video it.

I didn’t post it on Facebook or YouTube as a challenge or whatever.”

Ward is now facing a felony charge for tampering with a consumer product without regard for possible death or bodily injury.

If convicted, she could face up to 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

The ice cream challenge went viral in 2019. Multiple people were arrested for attempting the challenge, including the originator, a teenage girl from Texas.

The original video showed her licking a container of Blue Bell’s Tin Roof ice cream and then putting it back into the freezer at Walmart.

So yeah, maybe not ever do anything like that? It clearly will get you in trouble… and make all your friends think you’re super gross.

Worth it? Nope!
