We all have ways of dealing with boredom.
We exercise, we do puzzles, we watch TV. Or, in the case of one Calgary man, we pick pretend fights with strangers on our phones.
Now, we all know that it’s not hard to get into a fight on the internet. Basically say anything at all on a large enough forum and you’ll find a few people who want to squabble. But those fights are draining and lack spirit. Brad’s fights are something else entirely.
Brad has taken up the very VERY un-Canadian hobby of texting random numbers and asking them if they’ve like to have a text fight, based on absolutely nothing.
That’s Brad in his element. He’s started an Instagram feed that contains a few selfies like this, but mostly it’s screenshots of his misadventures running his “fight club.” The results speak for themselves.
15. A poor excuse
14. She was ready, bruh
13. Too soon?
12. You’re so two thousand and late
13. Love thy neighbor as thyself
12. Wait, you’re still wiping?
11. Nailed it sight unseen
10. Oh, Karen
9. Self-owns are rare and should be treasured
8. You’re so missing the point
7. The good life
6. This guy’s just happy to be included
5. This one’s brutal
4. I’m hot because I’m fly, you ain’t because you’re not
1. Talk about friendly fire
It might not be the most productive way to pass the time, but it’s certainly novel, and when things get tedious, a little originality goes a long way. Follow Brad on @quarantine_fight_club for more.
