In 1992 Hong Kong, a Mercedes-Benz was stolen every 5 hours. The theft and exporting of luxurious cars to China got so bad that Toyota began advertising in Chinese newspapers; stating that Lexus cars would breakdown after 20,000 miles if Chinese standard Leaded fuel was used. Not one was stolen. 00
