Taking a ride can sometimes be an adventure.

You never know what kind of conversation you’re gonna have when you take a ride in an Uber, Lyft, or a taxi. And on the flip side of that, the drivers don’t know what they’re going to get, either.

A Twitter user who works as a driver shared the story of an interaction she had with an elderly woman that shed a lot of light about love, sex, relationships, and life.

This is how the story began…

This older (78) lady I drove today asked me if I had ever been with a woman. I told her yes and she asked me what it was like. At first I was like…umm grandma this is weird. But she told me she thinks shes in love with her best friend since childhood.

Wow. That’s quite an admission…especially to a stranger. But the old woman obviously needed someone to talk to and, for one reason or another, believed she could confide in her driver.

The story continued.

She basically just wanted to know what the sex feels like. I told her it felt like taking a fresh shower, getting a massage head to toe and then having sex with myself. Like a copy of me in person rubbing all of everything together and feeling solely pleasure, no pain.

That’s a pretty incredible explanation. Perhaps this driver also moonlights as a writer in her spare time? The elderly passenger responded to the driver’s description of sex with a woman. She opened up and told the younger woman about her own life experiences and how she never felt fully satisfied with men.

She was like “wow that sounds way better than being with a man”. We sat and spoke for like 30 minutes about her ex husbands and how she felt like she was never truly satisfied being with them even if she felt like they had great experiences.

The woman then talked about how she wished her generation would have had different attitudes and beliefs about sex and relationships. It’s interesting to think about how many people in her age group probably feel exactly the same way she does.

The senior citizen also told the driver that she and her best friend now live together.

She said she wishes her generation wasn’t so closed off and stuck up about sexuality because she wouldn’t have felt so suppressed. Her and her best friend live together now and basically the friend is like everything she wishes her husbands were for her but she’s scared to say

The driver took the woman to her doctor’s appointment and scheduled to pick her back up when it was over. There’s no way that could have been the end of this story.

So I dropped her off at the doctors but I had also scheduled to come back and pick her up. When I got there she seemed all down and stuff so we talked more and she said she feels like she spent a whole lifetime lying to herself. I felt so bad until I dropped her off.

The driver returned and picked the woman up after her appointment and took her home.

She uses a walker and her friend is still pretty nimble for an old lady. She calls her and asks her to unlock the front door because she was on her way. When we pull up, shes is sitting outside waiting on her. She gets up & opens the door while Im pulling the walker out the trunk

Then she helps her stand up and says “I couldn’t imagine having anybody else to end this life with. You’re my favorite person.”

Bruh when I tell you I teared the hell up. Then then rider teared up and they hugged and told each other “I love you.”
