These Pups Will Always Be Loyal to Their Beloved Toys

The dogs I’ve had throughout the years all had that one toy they loved more than anything else in the world. Quincy had his hamburger, Bailey had a rat, and Bianca just couldn’t get enough of her tennis ball.

If you have a pup, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Here are some doggos that are eternally loyal to their toys.

I think these pics are gonna make you say “awwwwwww.”

1. Awwwwww (I told you).

Almost 18 years old and still sleeping with the toy frog she’s had for 14 years from aww

2. BFF.

How I found him moments after I changed the batteries in his Snuggle Buddy, a toy with a little heartbeat he’s had since he was 3 months old. from aww

3. Don’t hurt the pig.

Morty’s first squeak toy. It’s a pig. He thinks we hurt it when squeezing it, so he’s been protecting it for the last 45 mins. from aww

4. Adorable.

All these years later and it’s still her favourite toy from aww

5. Can you save it?

Operating on my dogs favourite toy. He looks very concerned. from aww

6. Come on, Grandma!

My 7yr old girl that I rescued 4 years ago waiting ever so patiently for my 79yr old Grandma to fix one of her favorite toys. <3 from aww

7. Constant companion.

Winston turns 1 today. He still sleeps with the same toy. from aww

8. This is mine now.

Today was the first day he’s ever picked out his toy at the pet store. He carried it to the car, into the house, and right into his crate at bedtime. My heart ☺ from aww

9. A real sweetheart.

First toy to 1 year old. Just the sweetest dog still! from FromPuppyToDog

10. Not gonna hurt this one.

4 years later, she has ripped up hundreds of toys, but she refuses to hurt her Dino. from aww

11. Through thick and thin.

A good boy and his toy through thick and thin from rarepuppers

12. All kinds of toys!

My grandma’s dog and her toys, she has never torn apart one and my grandma washes them for her! from aww

13. His baby.

The first toy he picked out on our way home from the shelter. He’s never rough with his baby, only carries it with him from room to room and lays on or cuddles it. from aww

14. Favorite toy.

15. Took seven years to find this one.

After 7 years of buying her stuffed toys that she completely destroys within a couple days, I finally found her one that she absolutely loves. She’s had her dragon for few months now and cuddles it every chance she gets. from aww

Do you have any cute pics of your pooch with their toys?

American Girl Introduces a Doll With Hearing Loss

It’s really important for children with disabilities to see themselves in pop culture, whether it’s movies, music, TV – or even the toys and dolls they play with. That’s why this announcement from American Girl should make a lot of kids and parents very happy. American Girl rang in 2020 with a new doll, and this one, for the first time ever, has a hearing impairment.

And the new doll is also American Girl of the Year.

Meet Joss Kendrick. Joss’s story is that she hails from Huntington Beach, California, and that she is “a fierce athlete born with hearing loss and a passion for surfing and competitive cheer.”

Joss was born deaf in her left ear and she wears a hearing aid in her right ear. The company said about Joss, “Whether she’s on her surfboard or in the gym, Joss shows girls the importance of trying new things, pushing past stereotypes, and being a good team player.”

The new doll was introduced with the help of Caroline Marks, a 17-year-old surfer who is looking to make a mark at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo as part of the U.S. Women’s Surfing team (I didn’t even know surfing was an Olympic sport). Marks said, “I’m so excited to be a part of the Joss launch and share her message that passion and hard work can really take a girl places—even to the Olympics.”

As part of the launch of the new doll, American Girl donated $25,000 to the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA).

This is a great move by Mattel and American Girl!

Congratulations and good luck to Caroline Marks at the 2020 Summer Olympics!

Toy and Game Company Hasbro Now Owns Death Row Records — Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tupac and MR. Potato Head?

You just never know what companies are going to consolidate/merge/buy each other out, etc. Which can lead to business, usually pretty dry, sometimes making big headlines for weird, weird stuff.

Like this!

Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tupac…Mr. Potato Head?

Hasbro, the toy and game company behind such favorites as Monopoly, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and My Little Pony, now owns Death Row Records, the notorious gangsta rap record label that was founded in 1991 by Dr. Dre, Suge Knight and The D.O.C.

How’s that for a mashup?

Death Row was absolutely HUGE in the 1990s – at its peak, it was raking in $150 million a year. Eventually, Death Row had a very public fall from grace, and Suge Knight is now serving a 28-year prison sentence.

So how exactly did this transaction come to be?

Here’s the deal: Hasbro purchased Entertainment One, which owned the Peppa Pig franchise, but it also had an enormous music division. Part of their music empire included the back catalog of Death Row Records, which declared bankruptcy back in 2006. Entertainment One acquired the back catalog in 2013.

But now it’s in Hasbro’s hands!

Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner said of the deal, “The acquisition of eOne adds beloved story-led global family brands that deliver strong operating returns to Hasbro’s portfolio and provides a pipeline of new brand creation driven by family-oriented storytelling.” That’s one way of looking at it.

People on Twitter couldn’t help themselves and just had to weigh in on the purchase. I mean, the possibilities are endless, don’t you think?

This story and the tweets that emanated from it bring me much happiness…
