One of the best things any human can experience in this life is the bond we form with our pets.

And one of the most heartbreaking realities is how short their lives tend to be compared to ours.

It feels like some cruel irony – an absolutely perfect and unconditionally loving companion who only gets to stick around for about about a fifth as long as do. But that short span also makes the time we do have with them all the more precious, and to be enjoyed.

Which is exactly what these older pet owners are doing. Let’s meet some cuties. (Names invented by yours truly where not provided. I just go with the vibe.)

Some Older People Never Slow Down and Here Are Some Great Examples

Age ain’t nothin’ but a number, my friends!

And believe me when I say that a lot of old-timers out there these days are still going strong, living their best lives, and even doing cooler stuff than people half their age.

That’s why I personally believe that getting older is something to look forward to instead of dreading.

You can always be a kid at heart, whether you’re 10, 50, or 100-years-old.

It’s one thing to realize that you’re no longer in the youngest generation around, it’s another thing altogether to realize that the younger generation is now going to college and taking over the culture and you’re no longer cool if you ever were.

Though to be honest, it’s not all bad. The pressure to be cool is overwhelming. Not to mention stupid. To be told “hey don’t worry about it, there’s a whole new shift of people competing to be cool now, nothing is expected of you, you’re relieved of duty” is sort of nice.
