What happened, did you get in a fight with a lawnmower?

I remember hearing someone say that in sixth grade to a kid who had a terrible, embarrassing haircut and thinking it was probably the funniest thing I’d ever heard in my life.

Here I am all these years later and I still remember it, so it was obviously a good joke.

And it goes to show you that bad haircuts are something to be avoided at all costs…unless you want to be humiliated in front of your peers. And no one wants that, right?

Plenty about the world has changed in the past few decades, but one of the starkest contrasts is how much later people are waiting to get married and have children of their own.

There are lots of smart people who have great theories on why that is, but I personally think that some of it is because of our parents – they were secure enough to raise us to not have to think about responsible stuff until we absolutely had to, so we kind of got a late start.

As I’ve gotten older and I’ve moved around the country, I’ve kind of forgotten about my old collecting ways, but these pics kind of got me fired up!

You can look at as many pictures as you want on different websites, but the fact is that you never really know what kind of hotel or Airbnb you’re booking until you step foot into the place.

And, as you already know, sometimes the photos just don’t tell the whole story…or maybe they’re not even from the same place that you just booked!

I wish I had the space to collect all things I want to, but that’s just not realistic…if I did acquire all the stuff I wanted, I’d need an enormous house…and probably about three or four storage spaces.

But it’s something to shoot for, I guess!

In the meantime, I’ll keep collecting just a little bit here and there…books, records, movie posters, etc.

Hey, it’s fun to collect things that are important to us. And we’re pretty impressed with these unique collections that people were nice enough to share.
