An Artist Reimagined Iconic Grammy Stars as Pokémon Trainers

The Grammys sure stirred up a lot of fashion talk this year. Buzzfeed recently reported on one artist who made a pretty big splash with their take on the style choices of industry icons, and Pokemon nerds everywhere are ecstatic.

A now infamous grid of red carpet pics started making its way around the internet, with most hot takes drawing comparisons to some sort of Suicide Squad-style lineup of comic book baddies.

But some saw more of a video game influence in the personas.

Enter Indonesian artist Ray Pratiwi, or @refrainbow as they’re known on twitter.

Ray’s imagination was sparked by the Pokemon chatter, and they decided to adapt the vibes of the performers into the franchise’s specific art style – which Ray says is not too different from their own. Twitter was in love.

I try not to go off on my “you damn kids don’t know how good you’ve got it!” rants too often. After all, it’s not like us American 90’s kids grew up traversing a dessert to get well water or something. Still. The rate at which technology has moved in the last few decades does mess with my mind enough that I can’t help but occasionally shake my head at how different everything is.

Davy Jones’ Locker, or the Curse of Davy Jones… you know about those right? For most, Pirates of the Caribbean is THE intro to the topic, and that’s why people on Tumblr are debating a certain scene from At World’s End far past the point of credulity.

Basically, the curse is such… Davy Jones had his heart removed and captains the Flying Dutchman, a ghost ship never able to make port because he can only return to dry land every ten years.

Well, in the scene in question, he’s standing on a sandbar in a bucket of seawater.

This Tumblr Thread Depicts Prehistoric Males as the Coolest of Dudes

No one knows for sure what prehistoric humans acted like – were they mostly like us, were there big differences, or (most likely) were they a little bit themselves and a little bit what they would one day become?

It’s fun to think about all of the possibilities, which is exactly what this really funny Tumblr thread did when they asked themselves…what if prehistoric dudes were just dudes?

It all began with a facial reconstruction done of a Homo sapien and a Neanderthal man who honestly, looks like he just needs a hug (and maybe a joint).

And then, someone got really into it, creating a whole world and society just based on one man’s potential face.

What sort of music would he like?

Would he appreciate your jokes?

We may never know for sure…

This man’s hair made an appearance because, well, it slaps. And so does that smirk of the guy below.

And then this child, who is objectively adorable, plus bonus Lucy and other species.

You cannot argue this is a face with a soul.

These images are actually beautiful, as is the fact that humans now can look at them and see ourselves in their eyes.

I’m honestly a little choked up about it and I’m not sure why.

A Baker Went Viral Because Her Heart-Shaped Cookies Turned out Looking Like Balls

Baking is a tricky skill to master. A lot can go wrong, even for the experienced chef.

23 year old Emma Plummer made a splash online recently when her attempt at some heart-shaped treats came out a little more…nutty than she’d planned.

I mean…. look at those beauties. I am fully in lust.

But her attempt at some Valentine’s themed snacks…well… turned out a bit differently than she expected.

That’s right. What were supposed to be hearts, turned out to be scrotums. And REALLY good looking scrotums at that.

45K retweets later… she turned the “lemons” into lemonade.

Twitter joined in with their own baking fails.

A lot of people thought they were an accidental work of genius.
