Well, this should be interesting…

Online shopping has never been more popular or more important. The brick-and-mortar retail stores I grew up with are slowly disappearing, and I’m not complaining about it, because honestly, shopping in my underwear without being arrested is great.

But there is one major disadvantage to not being in the physical place; you can’t see and hold the thing you’re buying in person. You can look at pictures representing what you’re ostensibly ordering, but you can’t check it out to be sure until you’ve already paid your money and it shows up on your doorstep. Usually the result is mild inconvenience, but sometimes its hilarity, like these great examples of online shopping expectation vs. reality.

When I first moved to a city, one of the unexpected challenges was reading the parking signs. It wasn’t that they were too small, or dirty, or that my vision was bad, they were just inscrutably complicated and at first glance seemed designed to ensure that I’d always be parked illegally. These days I’m a pro at deciphering those bad boys, but I still come across weird signs and symbols all over the place.

Fine Memes That Will Make a Good Addition to Your Collection

I wasn’t very good with the trading card fads as a kid. I couldn’t get into them, I didn’t have the money to spend on them, and I never really got that sense for how to tell a rare, valuable card from a run of the mill boring one.

Meme collecting, though? I’m all over that. It probably helps that I don’t have to drive to the drug store and spend ten bucks on a meme pack in the hopes it contains at least one that I don’t already have. Memes are much simpler to acquire.
