And then there are people who see signs that they truly believe are messages from their late pets, letting them know that they are okay now that they’ve crossed over that Rainbow Bridge.

A Twitter user shared a sad and powerful story about a sign that she saw from her dog who had passed away.

This Woman Set Tumblr Aflame After Claiming That Fish Aren’t Animals

Have you ever witnessed one of those conversations online that you just know is going to turn into a big mess?

That’s exactly what this conversation is like. One woman decided to let Tumblr know that vegans can eat fish because she doesn’t believe that fish are animals.

As you can imagine, this set off a veritable firestorm of debate.

It starts off with a bang: why are all these vegans eating salmon? Veganism is a lifestyle choice that requires adoptees to avoid animal products in every part of their life, whenever possible.

The first person correctly pointed out that vegans probably aren’t eating salmon… since fish are animals.

But the original commenter decides to double down.

It’s not really a question: fish are animals. I repeat: fish are animals.

It’s helpful that another person pointed out that also… eating salmon doesn’t inherently give you salmonella.

One person seems to believe that maybe the woman had her lifestyle choice words wrong. Perhaps she meant pescatarian?

The original poster is uninterested in debating the actual term, because she is way more focused on proving her erroneous beliefs about fish.

Unfortunately for her, the actual definition of fish literally includes the word animal.

When confronted with this information, the woman denies, denies, denies.

If You Work in the Cranberry Bogs, You Should Be Okay With the Wolf Spider Guards

Have you ever stopped to contemplate how cranberries are grown before they arrive on your dinner plate? If not, you are in for a treat.

It turns out that cranberries grow in bogs, which in and of itself sounds like the beginning of an odd but scary film.

Not only do cranberries grow in bogs, but the bogs themselves are closely guarded by one fearsome creature: the wolf spider.

Apparently this is common knowledge for people who are from Massachusetts, but for the rest of us… here’s the story.

It all started when someone innocently asked why cranberries are always shown growing in a big pit.

For some of us, just the two words “The Bog” automatically conjures up images of, well, bog bodies. Yikes!

But apparently, The Bog is totally a thing. A Massachusetts thing.

Apparently, cranberries grow in the bog when it’s unflooded. When they’re ripe, the bog is flooded and the berries are collected in these hoops.

The bogs also have a useful little creature living within: the wolf spider.

This is all well and good until it’s time to flood the bog and retrieve the berries.

It turns out there’s a reason cranberry spiders ask prospective employees if they’re comfortable with spiders, and it’s a pretty wild one.

Check Out These Funny, Dramatic Cats

I was at my sister’s house recently and she decided to put her two cats, Mac and Leo, out on her screened-in porch while we ate dinner because she knew they’d likely jump up on her kitchen counter and try to eat some of the food that was leftover.

While Mac snoozed on a chair in the sunshine, Leo pawed furiously at the door with a look of panic in his eyes because he’d been banished to the porch for about 45 minutes. He didn’t stop crying loudly and scratching for the ENTIRE MEAL.

What’s my point, you ask?

It’s that cats are incredibly DRAMATIC.

Okay, you probably do. It’s about surf punk vampires in the sleepy beach town of Santa Clara, California… “the murder capital of the world.”
