Adorable Photos of Dogs at Bath Time! Oh Yeah!

Some dogs looooove bath time, others really don’t. And a few are in between

And these 15 photos show the range of emotions they experience.

Do any of these pictures remind you of your pooch at bath time?

1. Not a fan

I got a BATH yesterday. I do not enJoy baths, but I’m very polite and stand patiently in the tub until it’s over. . . PD: The photos show me (a black poodle) in various states of bathtime. The first is of me after I get out of the run with a grey towel drawled over my head and shoulders. My face is still wet and I look very concerned. The second and third photos are of me in the white tub during my bath, where I am wet and my curly hair is all messed up. My fabric collar was taken off and I wear a silver training collar. The fourth photo is of me in the tub, but right before the water starts up. I am still soft and fuzzy, with my tail fluffy and dry. You can see the shower hose attachment coming down from the shower head. The final photo is of me after I’ve been all dried up, sitting in front of wooden kitchen cabinets on a light yellow hardwood floor. I am smiling and fuzzy once again! . . . . . . . . . . . #standardpoodle #blackpoodlesofinstagram #poodlesofinstagram #blackdogsofinstagram #standardpoodlesofinstagram #standardpoodlepuppy #poodlepuppy #blackpoodlepuppy #blackstandardpoodle #bathtime #dogsinbaths #puppybathtime #tubpuppy #wetdog

Hundreds of People Are Reporting Bigfoot Sightings in Pennsylvania

If you live on the East Coast of the U.S., here’s some great news! Pennsylvania now ranks as the third best place to see Bigfoot, according to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, which exists.

The BRFO reports that they have 23,000 Bigfoot sightings on file, and 1340 of them came from Pennsylvania. Accordingly, the state is becoming an increasingly popular place for enthusiasts to go “Bigfoot hunting.” There’s even a local group for it: Pennsylvania Bigfoot Investigations.

Per the Travel Channel’s blog post on the topic:

“One of Pennsylvania’s most interesting cases involves a mountain biker who, while taking a rest, thought he was watching the back-end of a bear as it rummaged through a downed-tree. The biker’s curiosity turned to shock when the animal stood up. What he thought was a bear was actually a giant 7-foot bipedal creature covered in black hair.”

For what it’s worth, Governor Tom Wolf openly welcomes Bigfoot and all his fans to Penn’s Woods, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. He encourages everyone to “explore one of our beautiful towns or parks, and see what you find.”

The BRFO’s report includes the number of sightings in every county in Pennsylvania, so you can narrow down your search.

Washington is the most popular state for Bigfoot sightings with 2032 total, followed by California with 1697 sightings. Bigfoot is often associated with the Pacific Northwest, so that’s no surprise — but if you are a Bigfoot believer then you probably knew that already.

Below Pennsylvania, there are five other states that made the BRFO’s list: Michigan (1131 sightings), Ohio (1024 sightings), Oregon (1009 sightings), and Texas (806 sightings).

So maybe you’re feeling intrigued and up for a little jaunt…

Calves Protect Their Ears from Frostbite with Muffs, and It’s Pretty Adorable

A lot of cattle ranches exist in states where winter comes early and stays well into the spring, meaning that many calves will be born while there’s still snow on the ground and temperatures are dangerously low.

According to Dr. W. Dee Whittier, calves are particularly susceptible to the cold, and the frostbite that can happen as a result.

“Newborn calves are most at risk because they are wet and because they have a large surface area in relation to their total body mass. Calves are not fully capable of maintaining temperature the first several hours of life. Newborn calves have a circulatory system that is less able to respond to cold changes as compared to more mature animals.”

Farmers know that losing cattle – especially brand new ones – isn’t kind, nor is it profitable.

Enter the earmuffs for calves trend, as useful as it is cute as it is ridiculous.

Posted by Triple P Farm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019

Thanks to @ThisFarmingMan_, we now have these pictures for posterity, and around 200k people online have already become obsessed.

Probably best not to look at any of these before you go out to grill a burger or a steak, though. They’re just too darn adorable to be dinner!

Or maybe you don’t care.

Probably depends on the steak.

Here’s How You Can Adopt a Dog Who Failed Government Training for Being ‘Too Nice”

Service dogs need to be loyal, sharp, and able to resist oodles of humans dying to pet them.

Dogs being dogs, there are a lot of dogs who just can’t quite meet that last qualification. They’re too nice! Or they might be too timid or not motivated enough.

Luckily, the dogs who drop out of government training are put up for adoption.

When all you want is a cute companion, being “too nice” is hardly disqualifying! On the contrary, it’s a major selling point.

You can adopt one of these dogs through organizations such as Freedom Service Dogs of America, Mission K9, or Service Dogs Inc. Even the TSA has a program to adopt out those pups that don’t make it through their training program (though about 83 percent of their dogs do graduate, per an Instagram post).

View this post on Instagram

Puppies! Puppies! PUPPIES!!! We are super-excited to celebrate #NationalPuppyDay in honor of our hard-working, four-legged friends. That includes Cole, one of our TSA Explosives Detection Canines. His big eyes, sensitive nose, and wagging tail are on duty at Orlando International Airport. … In spite of their cuteness, not all canines can make the cut to become a TSA working dog. Did you know that approximately 83 percent of canines graduate from the training program? That’s about 350 canines each year. Check out our website to learn more about our canines and the important role they play in keeping travelers safe! … #DogsofInstagram #WorkingDogs #Dogstagram #Travel #TSAcanines #AirportLife #Orlando #Florida

A post shared by TSA (@tsa) on

These organizations work to match doggie training dropouts with families who will love ’em even if the only “job” they do is sniffing out crumbs on the kitchen floor.

Some of the dogs’ reasons for dropping out are just the dang cutest.

Like Rogue, for example. He dropped out of training with Freedom Service Dogs of America because he couldn’t stop eating rocks. Hey, what are you gonna do?

In addition to adopting a dropout dog, you can also adopt a dog who was a successful working dog but is now ready to retire.

All dogs are good dogs, whether they qualify for a job or not!

A Captive Female Shark Ate a Male Shark Who Wouldn’t Stop Bumping into Her

Women everywhere are likely feeling a bit of solidarity at reading how “needing some space” seems to cross species lines. Take this shark for example.

A female shark at the COEX Aquarium in Seoul, Korea, bit and then consumed her male tank-mate over a 21-hour period, with video showing she started with his head and worked her way down.

CALLINGTHE WILDTiger shark female eating a male shark smaller size, the Coex Aquarium in Seoul, South Korea

Posted by When Pictures Tell The Truth on Saturday, January 30, 2016

“Sharks have their own territories,” said an aquarium official. “Sometimes, when they bump into each other, they bite out of astonishment.”

Perhaps, but the fact that she didn’t stop with a surprised bite and went on to, you know, eat him whole, suggests to me that she’d been suffering his presence for longer than a hot minute.

We’ve all had that guy at work who just will not give us our space no matter what hints we drop, and if he had bumped us at the exact wrong time, well… who is to say he wouldn’t have met the same fate.

Marine specialists don’t expect that the shark will be able to digest her entire meal – in fact, they guess she will throw him up at some point, which only proves to me that she was doing it out of spite.

More power to her, I say. And let that be a warning to you.

You can find it on Daily Mirror…if you have the stomach for it.
