It seems like there are a ton of animal photographers out there on social media, but I gotta say that Masayuki Oki has to be one of the best out there.

The photographer is based in Japan and he uses his camera as a tool to show the rest of the world what life for stray cats on the streets of Tokyo is really like.

And Oki always seems to capture the funniest and most revealing moments of these adorable and playful felines.

10 Golden Retriever Puppies Enjoyed a Purple Dragon Reading to Them at Storytime

I’m gonna go on the record about something that I feel very strongly about.

I’m talking about Golden Retrievers. I don’t care if you think they are boring, generic dogs that only suburban soccer moms have. I’m here to tell you that they are one of the most gentle, loving, and all-around outstanding dog breeds out there.

Okay, now that I’ve said my peace, it’s time to move on to the story!

A totally adorable litter of ten Golden Retriever puppies sat and watched (they’re also well-behaved) as a robotic Dalton the Storytelling Dragon read to them in Redlands, California.

And it’s not the first time it’s happened either. Here’s another litter of Goldens getting into the reading spirit with Dalton.

The Unflattering Dog Photo Challenge is What You Need to See Right Now

There are few things that make me smile more than seeing dogs act like total goofs.

And, while they’re usually pretty photogenic, you have to admit that when dog owners catch their pooches unaware and the pics aren’t exactly flattering, it results in hilarity.

Raccoons Are Cute and Hilarious and Here’s the Proof

Several months ago, I had not one, not two, not three, but FOUR baby raccoons stuck in my fireplace in my living room. The poor little guys fell down the chimney and thank goodness I was home at the time so I could barricade the fireplace opening with a piece of wood until a “wildlife expert” showed up to remove the animals.

They were so adorable and I felt so bad for them that I even thought about keeping them for a minute…and then I realized that would be a total disaster so I abandoned that dream…

But I did come to realize that raccoons are very cute, even though they like to eat our trash and some of them are dangerous because they’re infected with rabies. But we can still admire them from afar!

A lot of the time, we get so wrapped in our own lives and we have our eyes glued to a computer or a phone screen so often that we forget how the incredible this planet can be.

We are surrounded by beauty and nature and animals on all sides, but unless we’re actively seeking it out, we become oblivious to all the great things that are right under our noses.

I feel like the photos you’re about to see are the kind that we should seek out and look at every once in a while so we can truly appreciate how amazing life can be and how humans are just a small part of the planet. The animals are actually running this place, we’re just here taking up some of their space.
