About a year ago, my parents rescued a dog from a local rescue. They hadn’t had a dog in the house in over five years since their last one had passed away, and I think they were a little bit nervous about it.

But Coco has been an absolute delight and my parents absolutely love her to pieces!

It just goes to show you how much love and happiness that animals bring into our homes.

1. Fred’s getting fat!

When I found Fred on the side of the road he was skittish, neurotic, and sweet as could be. One month later he’s still all those things, but now he’s fat too. Love him more every day. from BeforeNAfterAdoption

But we’re glad that Dooby is now living his best life.

This is my precious little man, Dobby. He was dumped off at a shot clinic. The owner said she did not want to “deal with him anymore“. I cannot imagine the pain that he was in. He has made a miraculous recovery and is a very special little guy! from BeforeNAfterAdoption

3. Rescued from the streets.

This one was a major turnaround.

Phoenix was rescued from the streets and was covered in hot tar. Little over a month later, he looks amazing, he loves humans and is ready to enter a loving home 🥰 from BeforeNAfterAdoption

And we’ll keep you safe.

When we met her in the shelter my daughter immediately started whispering in her ear “your okay, we’ll take you home and keep you safe, we love you already” from BeforeNAfterAdoption

These Newly-Adopted Animals Should Make You Smile

There’s almost nothing on this planet that makes me happier than seeing a newly-adopted animal that is obviously bursting with joy.

You can tell by their faces that they are relieved and happy to be in a loving home and it’s about as pure as pure gets.

This girl was rescued and we have been fostering her for about 5 months. With a big adoption event for our rescue coming up we decided we couldn’t let her go to someone else and decided to make her our Furever Valentine. She has her quirks but has been an overall great girl for us. from aww

A Law Firm Hired a Stray Cat After People Complained About It Wandering Around the Office

There’s only one course of action if a stray cat or dog is wandering around your office. Well, you adopt them, of course! And that’s exactly what a law firm in Brasília, Brazil did with a little fella who goes by the name of Leon.

Leon was just one of the many stray cats wandering the streets of Brasília when he somehow snuck into the Order of Attorneys of Brazil office building. Leon hung around the reception area for a while, but when some people started to complain about the frisky feline, the company found a unique way to keep Leon around: they hired him as a lawyer.

Per the Facebook post they wrote:

“After a heavy rain, this little guy here seeking shelter from the storm went inside the OAB building (the Brazilian equivalent of American Bar Association) and decided to stay. Unfortunately some people started to file some complaints about the fact that at the reception desk there was a stray cat hanging around and trying to make friends with the newcomers. In order to avoid some new complaints the board gave the solution: Hire the cat as an employee.”

Dr. Leon now has his own ID card, his own Instagram page, and he’s grown quite a bit since he first wandered into the office. Leon’s become such a hit that the Order of Attorneys of Brazil decided to launch their own animal rights institute called Instituto Dr. Leon.

I love this story!

And I think Dr. Leon needs his own reality TV show ASAP.
