Let’s Meet the Middle-Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles

Like most of us, Saturday Night Live is working from home.

Their latest episode is a Saturday Night Live at Home version featuring the “Live from New York, It’s Saturday Night” cast in a Zoom format coming at us from the actors’ home living room offices/studios.

One of the segments was a hilarious update on what our favorite martial-arts devoted terrapins have been up to since they are no longer teen-aged. Spoiler alert: they no longer live in New York sewers.

Since reaching their fully matured adulthood, the Mutant Teenage Ninja Turtles have settled nicely in their spacious suburban homes. City living is for the more energetic youngsters. In the ‘burbs, there’s plenty of parking at the Whole Foods for Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael when they shop for their health foods to make up for all that marshmallow cereal they ate during their teen years.

But all is not boxed wine and Yard-of-the-Month sign roses out there. Marriages are becoming stale, their kids are spoiled brats and the ol’ waistline just keeps getting bigger.

And crime would be easier to fight without all this worry about medical tests and paying debt. Golf is an expensive hobby, especially if you’re not that good.

Oh, and Shredder is dead. Should they got to the funeral? No, but maybe the wake. That seems more appropriate.

A Hedgehog and Bengal Kitten are Best Friends and It’s So Cute

Herbie is a charming hedgehog who is also an Instagram star that has many adventures and makes social media a better place. If Herbie wasn’t adorable enough for you, then you have to meet his sister and pal, a Bengal kitten named Audree.

Audree became part of the Mr. Pokee family last year and has settled in nicely. Although Audree is quite a bit bigger than Herbie, it hasn’t stopped them from becoming best friends and having entirely too much fun.

They have some things in common. Both of them can be hand-held.

They both love Disney movies, because their friendship is basically already one.

A Grandma Went Viral on TikTok When She Sang “Happy Birthday” to Herself During Quarantine

Norma Gregorio recently turned 88-years old by herself because she was in self-isolation. But, this terrific grandma didn’t let that bother her for an instant. She lit birthday candles on a cake, sang Happy Birthday to herself, made a wish and blew the candles out.

Her granddaughter Jessica had the cake delivered and when she saw Grandma’s video, she posted it to TikTok where it delighted millions of viewers.

If you’re thinking the video will be depressing to watch, you’re in for a treat. She’s so upbeat and happy to be celebrating her birthday! She’s cheered up everyone who watched her sing. So far, her video has been viewed over nine million times.

Jessica told People, “When she got the flower cake, she decided to record herself and send it to us. I thought it was so cute so I uploaded it to my TikTok not thinking anything of it. Next thing I know, millions of people are watching, commenting, and sharing it.”

“I told my grandma that I was getting messages from all over the world wishing her a happy birthday, and she didn’t believe me. She thought I was kidding,” she added.

Jessica said her grandma loves the attention. “I told her she’s a star, and she said, ‘No, Jessica, I’m not a star. I’m a galaxy!’”

Norma made another video where she thanked the people who liked and commented on her granddaughter’s original post. “This was by far the most special birthday ever, and you made it so. Yes you did,” she says. “Thank you.”

Now she makes videos regularly starting them off with a cheery, “Hello my TikTok friends!”

Norma is a much needed breath of fresh air during these times. She’s a naturally happy person too, telling CNN, “I start the morning saying, ‘Thank you God for giving me this day to live through,’\’ because each day is a life in itself. A Man Builds Kitty Towers and Now People Are Demanding to Buy His Plans

Cats act like they care about nothing except napping and ignoring us, but that’s simply not true. Put a kitty tower in the room and they are all over it. The higher the better!

Then when they are on the top level, they can pretend they are lords of the realm, surveying their subjects and lands which stretch as far as their eye can see or at least to the edge of the living room rug.

Progress update: here we can see Zach inspecting the installation of the roofing shingles. Also the 1st of the lights has been installed.
