We hear that middle children tend to develop undesirable traits because they don’t stand out in the same way as their elder or younger siblings. But is it true?

Reader’s Digest says most of the symptoms of “middle child syndrome” are hearsay.

Here are some reasons why…

5. They’re Talented

Middle children are known to be creative and inventive.

They’re statistically more open to new experiences than their elder siblings.

4. They Know How to Be Good Friends

Their position in the family’s birth order means they usually have to seek strong support systems outside of the family.

This means they learn to be better friends and romantic partners.

3. They Attract Other Middle Children

It’s possible that middle children develop characteristics that cause them to seek out other middle children for friendship or as significant others.

2. Middle Kids Check Their Egos

Middle children are associated with weaker self-esteem, and experts are rightfully concerned about this.

On the other hand, middle children are far less likely to be narcissistic than their elder or younger siblings. Studies show they can cope with rejection quite well as a result.

1. They Make Great Leaders

One study on presidents shows that up to 52% of them are middle children!

One hypothesis says this is because middle children can learn from older siblings, but they still play an important role in family life as well. After all, they still have to be a good example to their younger siblings!

Constantly learning and leading means that middle children are in a great position to keep learning.

These are all great things to hear, especially for middle children who’ve been getting a bad reputation over the years.

Baby Yoda Chia Pets Will Be Here Soon!

Surely you remember the commercials, right?

Alright, cut to 2020…

Everything related to Baby Yoda is so popular these days that it makes sense a Baby Yoda Chia Pet would be hitting the market for consumption. I am a personal fan of this amazing product and my Bob Ross Chia Pet has been a wonderful addition to my home.

At the recent New York Toy Fair, it was revealed that Chia Pet will be releasing a Baby Yoda version of its iconic product.

Baby Yoda rose to fame in recent months thanks to the little guy’s role in the hit show The Mandalorian.

This new (obviously awesome) product has “The Child” sitting in a planter and he looks very content to have all that green sprouting up around him.

There’s no official word yet about when this amazing addition to the Chia Pet family will be available, so keep your eyes and your ears open, people!

A Rare Hot Wheels Toy Is Worth an Incredible $100,000

When I see headlines like this, it makes me wish I never would’ve gotten rid of all my old toys, baseball cards, records, and anything else that I ditched when I thought I outgrew it. Doh!

Celebrity toy collector Joel Magee has an ultra-rare Hot Wheels Camaro toy car from 1968 that he says is worth as much as $100,000.

What’s so special about it? First of all, the car is white. Designers at Mattel would put white enamel on prototype cars so they could check for imperfections. Only a few of these white prototypes were know to have been accidentally packaged and released to retailers.

In fact, the car Magee has is one of the original 16 models of the car that Mattel made in 1968.

Magee said, “I’ve collected toys forever and this Hot Wheels Camaro is the Holy Grail of collectibles. I am beyond excited to have found it to add to my vast collection. This car is so extremely rare that there is only one known example which is this one. Imagine something that originally sold for 59 cents now being worth upwards of $100,000!”

A Woman Got Feedback After Claiming She Was “Raised to Take Care of Her Husband”

Let’s just say up front that everyone’s relationship roles and dynamics are different, and if both partners are happy and fulfilled and it works for them, it’s no one’s business.

That said, once you put your business on Twitter and also use a somewhat judgy and sanctimonious tone that suggests your way is the right and good way and everyone else is dumb, well…expect feedback.

Twitter user Brylea Kay sent this tweet, claiming that she was raised to be an “old fashioned” wife who took care of her husband and made him dinner and cleaned the house, et al.

Let’s first point out that, due to her wording, we can assume dear Brylea has never been married (or added kids to the mix), so we will have to assume she’s like those people who have opinions on parenting before they attempt to tackle it themselves.

People had some thoughts.

And just some plain hilarious responses to this dear heart thinking she knows anything about what it takes to stay happily married to another person who turns out to be way more annoying than you thought.

I mean, I kind of just want to give her a hug and tell her to get back to me in 15 years.
