A set of twins was reunited after 37 years in 1979. Both were named Jim by their adoptive parents, loved carpentry and math, and pursued careers in security. Even stranger, they had each married a woman named Linda and then remarried a woman named Betty.
Check Out this Nutella ‘Slot Machine’ in New York, with 20 Flavor Combinations
Earlier this winter, people in New York City were gambling away at a new slot game… and everyone was a winner!
The machine in question was made by Ferrero, the parent company of Nutella, and it was filled with – yep, no surprises here, Nutella! All it takes to play is hitting one single button and, depending on how the slots land, you end up with one of 20 possible variations on a Nutella breakfast snack, with choices like sliced bananas, pistachios, or cherries, served on toast.
This promotion debuted in late November, and Ferrero has since (tragically) closed down the machine. But don’t fret, my Nutella nuts, because Ferrero recently opened a whole Nutella café in New York City. There you can satisfy your sweet tooth with Nutella smeared between a brioche bun or in a bowl of pound cake, fruit, and a generous drizzle of Nutella.
I’ll Nutell-ya, this looks like heaven. YUM!

This Nurse Has a Very Powerful Message for Anti-Vaxxers
Meggy Doodle is a nurse who’s had enough with all these anti-vaxxers talking about how “Big Pharma” is just out to get you. Considering she’s a nurse, we’d say she knows what she’s talking about. Maybe that’s why her Facebook rant on the issue is going viral.
Here’s how it starts:
Don’t want to vaccinate, don’t do it. Fair enough. She continues:
Well, that seems harsh. I suspect there’s a reason for this, though.
Ah, things are coming together. I wonder what else “Big Pharma” is behind?
No getting away from “Big Pharma,” then. Fair enough. This isn’t all she has to say to anti-vaxxers, though.
I think they have a different definition of “research.”
Of course, anti-vaxxers may think that since everyone else is vaccinated, they’re okay. Doodle points out that that’s not actually the case.
Mic drop.

Seriously Crazy Facts About “Crazy Rich Asians”
Kevin Kwan’s bestselling novel, Crazy Rich Asians, was recently released as a blockbuster movie by the same name and by all accounts, it was a smashing success. Some even went so far as to say the film is helping revive the rom-com genre.
The story follows college professor Rachel Chu as she travels with her fiance, Nick Young, to Singapore to meet his family. She soon discovers that his family is one of the richest in the country…and his mother is an ice queen (classic!).
The all-Asian cast created an instant buzz for the movie, which was critically acclaimed and one of the highest grossing films of the past ten years. Here are ten more crazy facts about Crazy Rich Asians.
1. Many people in Singapore criticized the movie by saying casting did not truly reflect their demographic because it lacked Chinese and Southeast Asian actors.
However, global reception of the movie has been much more positive.
2. Chu and his music supervisor searched YouTube to find singers fluent in Mandarin to provide covers for the soundtrack.
And if you’ve heard it, you know all that research definitely paid off.
3. One producer interested in the film project early on suggested Rachel be white.
Thankfully, Kwan optioned the project to Warner Bros instead for $1 to keep creative control and avoid any more stupid suggestions like that.
4. Michelle Yeoh, who plays domineering MIL Eleanor, is also Malaysian.
She and Golding have another fellow countryman in the film: Ronny Chieng, who played Eddie Cheng, Nick’s cousin.
5. The sequel has already been optioned, and it’s called China Rich Girlfriend.
Sounds like that’s more of a prequel in my opinion, but I’ll wait till it comes out to judge.
6. Wu has been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.
Obviously, the movie is more than just your average rom-com.
7. This was Golding’s first film.
Before starring in Crazy Rich Asians, Golding’s only on-camera experience was hosting a travel show.
8. The film, which had a production budget of $30 million, has grossed $238 million worldwide.
It out-grossed Sandra Bullock’s The Proposal and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City, making it the top-grossing romantic comedy in the past ten years.
9. Constance Wu, who played Rachel Chu, feared scheduling conflicts with Fresh Off The Boat.
So she wrote a letter to director John Chu, convincing him to change the schedule because she connected with Rachel’s character so much.
10. Henry Golding being cast as Nick Young caused some controversy.
Golding’s father is white and his mother is Malaysian. Korean-American celebrity, Jamie Chung, took issue with the fact that Golding “wasn’t Chinese enough.” Golding graciously said he was happy that people were looking at the casting and voicing their opinions. Chung has since apologized.
What makes Crazy Rich Asians so special is what it highlights: just because people are the same ethnicity in a broad sense doesn’t make them alike (a pretty uncontroversial point that for some reason still needs to be emphasized in 2018). Every family and each individual carries unique experiences and backgrounds that set them apart – but at the same time, family and love are pretty universal.
Also, being rich doesn’t always mean having a lot of money.

The Truth Behind How Alcohol Really Impacts Your Mood
It’s a pretty commonly held belief that if you’re stressed out after a tough day, a drink (or two) can help you wind down and relax. This belief is bolstered by the fact that a glass of wine in the evening has become a crucial ritual for many a stressed parent trying to relax.
Luckily, for us, it’s not an unsubstantiated practice. Believe it or not, studies have shown that certain types of wine can have legitimate health benefits beyond the mental stress relief.
Alcohol quickly boosts our serotonin levels, which results in an elevated or euphoric improvement to our mood. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter (a biological chemical, basically), and it’s a key player in our happiness and mood. People who experience anxiety and depression often have lower than average levels of serotonin in their gut, blood and central nervous system.
The problem is, after that initial boost in serotonin brought on by a couple of drinks, serotonin levels fall down even lower than they were prior to your drinking. So if you drink habitually, it means that you’re regularly lowering your serotonin levels to below what is considered average, and that can eventually rewire your brain.
If you’re someone who doesn’t struggle with depression and anxiety, then you may not have anything to worry about – but if you do, having a drink or two every day might be something you want to rethink.

Here’s How Domino’s Pizza Tracker Helped Save One Man’s Life From a Knife-Wielding Ex-Girlfriend
Now, picture a guy planning to spend a relaxing Friday night in front of the tube with a nice, hot pizza. Little does he know, Domino’s’ pizza tracker won’t just let him verify a timely delivery, it will be a life saver. Literally.
While we should point out that there is a real argument to be made that the way he talks about his girlfriend’s very legitimate mental disorder is not cool, once you start attacking someone with a knife, you’ve sort of lost the moral high ground.
So…Domino’s for the win!

Two Japanese Cats Keep Trying to Sneak In to this Museum – Every. Single. Day.
They say that art knows no bounds. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, or who you are. Art lovers can come from all walks of life, but the one thing most of take for granted is that all art lovers are humans. Well, get ready to shatter that illusion because these art enthusiasts are cats. The adorable one on the left is Ken Chan. The cute orange-y little girl is Gosaku, sometimes called Go-Chan
Their mission for years has been to visit the Hiroshima Onomichi City Museum of Art. However, since they are cats, they are unable to purchase tickets and are therefore prohibited from viewing the art. Also, being cats, they probably shouldn’t be near priceless and irreplaceable works, especially the textiles.
Still, this sort of narrow-minded thinking by management has not stopped Ken Chan and Go-Chan from trying to get a paw in the door for years.
Go-Chan is not as naughty, but every once in a while, she will try the door. Certainly, at Ken Chan’s urging.
The security guard, however, has a job to do and that is to keep two silly cats from pussyfooting around his museum.
Everyday is a stuggle for Ken Chan and Go-Chan.
Especially for Ken Chan, who loooooovvvvves the art. Please let me see the art.
Oh, Go-Chan. You too, again?
When will they ever learn?
Such willful little things to never give up on their dreams. Ken-chan and Go Chan, we hope you find a door left open accidentally soon. We’re cheering for you!

Upon being told he couldn’t go…
Upon being told he couldn’t go to Disneyland due to security concerns, Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev went berserk. He said afterwards, “What do you have there – rocket launching pads? Is there a cholera epidemic down there? Have gangsters taken control of the place? Your police are strong enough to lift up a bull; surely […]
Southwest Airlines Apologizes to a Passenger After Employee Mocks Her Daughter’s Name, “Abcde”
Ya know, I’ve seen some “weird” names in my day. Heck, i watch enough professional football to know that people can sometimes have… interesting… names (like Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Taco Charlton, or D’Brickashaw Ferguson). I try my best not to be too judgmental. Apparently, the folks at Southwest don’t feel the same way…
Traci Redford, a Texas resident, complained that a Southwest employee mocked her daughter’s name. She said, “The gate agent started laughing, pointing at me and my daughter, talking to other employees. So I turned around and said, ‘Hey, if I can hear you, my daughter can hear you, so I’d appreciate if you’d just stop.”
Oh, I forgot to mention her daughter’s name. Are you ready for this? Abcde. It’s pronounced “Ab-city.” Yes, you read that correctly.
The employee apparently took a photo of the girl’s boarding pass and posted it online, which is how Redford found about it and reported it to the airline.
Name shaming? This Texas woman claims a @SouthwestAir agent made fun of her 5-year-old daughter’s name as they were preparing to board their flight at @JohnWayneAir in Orange County.
Her daughter’s name is Abcde (pronounced Ab-city). @ABC7 pic.twitter.com/iHpBPoakYI
— Veronica Miracle (@ABC7Veronica) November 28, 2018
Southwest eventually apologized to the woman and Abcde, saying “We take great pride in extending our Southwest Hospitality to all of our Customers, which includes living by the Golden Rule and treating every individual with respect, in person or online.”
You’re probably not going to believe this, but there are several hundred people in the U.S. with the name “Abcde.”
Wow, we live in strange times.
