Was a Lawn-Obsessed Woman Responsible for Killing Pets? The Internet Has an Opinion.

Terrible neighbors can range from an unwanted annoyance to the reason you leave behind a dream home. The only thing worse than a neighbor who you find irritating is a neighbor you’re worried might be actively endangering you or the things you care about.

That, apparently, is the situation that Reddit user tdog945 found themselves in when they took to r/AmITheAsshole to get some perspective.

AITA? Suing my neighbor after she sprayed weedicide on my lawn from AmItheAsshole

So, what did Reddit think? Was OP in the right, or was the girlfriend correct in saying they’re turning this into a bigger deal than it is?

The answer was overwhelmingly…

1. Yeah, no, that Karen is wrong.

Source: r/AskReddit

2. Apparently this is something that happens a lot.

Source: r/AskReddit

3. The basic tenant of “no trespassing” certainly seems to apply.

Source: r/AskReddit

4. OP got a lot of love.

Source: r/AskReddit

5. Many believed a lawsuit was indeed the right way to go.

Source: r/AskReddit

6. Always expect the unexpected on r/AmItheAsshole.

Source: r/AskReddit

7. Literally get off my lawn, said all.

Source: r/AskReddit

8. Nobody was buying that the neighbor had no liability here.

Source: r/AskReddit

9. Beware people who do “nice” things for their own purposes.

Source: r/AskReddit

10. However…not everyone was sure OP had the cause and effect right.

Source: r/AskReddit

It’s hard to say in this case whether or not the neighbor was truly responsible for endangering or killing OP’s pets. When the thread got closed down they were apparently awaiting some kind of toxicology report to confirm. Either way, I think we can all agree, don’t go screwing with other peoples’ homes.

But what do you think about all this?

Chime in in the comments.

Having bad neighbors can really drive you nuts.

If they’re especially bad, they can be rude, crude, ignorant, and downright hostile. And what are you supposed to do? You live next to, on top of, or below these folks, right?

Overall, it’s just a bad situation all around.

An Instagram page called Neighbors from Hell is dedicated to showcasing what awful neighbors some people can be and the posts are pretty amusing…if it’s not happening to you…

A Woman’s Neighbors Are Mad at Her for Running Early in the Morning

It’s a little appalling how much free time people seem to have.

And that they seem to choose to spend that free time complaining about the people who live around them in their neighborhoods.

Because here’s the deal – you buy a house in a neighborhood, you get neighbors. People living their lives, doing their thing, whatever, while you do the same a few doors down.

This woman, who posted her story on the subreddit Am I The A**hole, wanted to know if she was a jerk for running before she goes to work in the morning (usually around 5am). Her neighbors had let her know they thought she was, since her route woke many of them up before they wanted.

AITA for running through neighborhoods in the early morning, making security lights come on and dogs bark? from AmItheAsshole

The were upset not because she was being loud, mind you. But because their dogs, their security lights, their video doorbells were being set off by her running past.

Yeah. They wanted her to stop living her life because their own stuff was inconveniencing them.

You probably won’t be surprised to hear that most people on Reddit took her side – she should continue to run whenever she damn well pleases, because not everyone can afford a gym or change their workout schedule at will.

Do better, people. Or you know, go live in the woods. I’m sure the critters will be super amenable to staying away from your dogs and security lights.

Ed Sheeran Has Spent Millions Buying Houses and Property from His Complaining Neighbors

This ma is living the dream. Ed Sheeran has all the money he could ever want, and he’s been using it to slowly buy up all the property around his farmhouse in Framlingham, England, supposedly to build himself a “mini-village.”

That sounds like paradise to me. No neighbors, no hassle, no problems.

No.6 went #1 today and Beautiful People went #1 in the singles chart, which makes it the second #1 from this project….

Posted by Ed Sheeran on Friday, July 19, 2019

And by “buying up all the property,” I mean buying OUT his neighbors. Sheeran bought a farmhouse and some land around it in 2012 for just over $1 million (we’re talking US currency here). He then bought the house next door for about $550,000. Fast forward to 2016 and Sheeran purchased another nearby house for $1.1 million. The following year, the singer dished out $640,000 for a bungalow across the street.

Not only is Sheeran buying these properties, but he’s putting a lot of work back into them and the house he originally purchased. Sheeran was granted permission to build a kidney-shaped pool on the condition that it would also be a natural habitat to attract wildlife, but his plans for the pool got his neighbors peeved.

Ed Sheeran's home in Framlingham, Suffolk.

Posted by Realty One on Monday, January 29, 2018

Neighbors were annoyed when Sheeran placed hay bales around the pool to block neighbors’ views, and they accused him of using the water for recreation instead of a wildlife attraction, as originally decided. His neighbors have also complained that the famous singer has plans to build a giant treehouse and a chapel on his property.

So, what to do? Drop some cash on ’em, of course! Then no one can complain! And that’s exactly what Sheeran continues to do. Because he can.

Today the Divide tour broke the all time tour record set by U2. It's now the most attended and highest grossing tour of…

This Guy Crafted the Perfect Revenge After Neighbors Threatened His Dog

Never mess with someone’s dog. EVER.

A lesson that this guy’s neighbors had to learn the hard way after they stuck their nose in business that definitely wasn’t theirs.

The original post on Reddit told this story:

I planted over 5000 dandelion weeds in my neighbors garden from ProRevenge

So, basically, this guy’s dog was pooping IN HIS OWN YARD, he picked it up weekly, and his neighbors objected to what? Having to look at it in another person’s garden?

I would have been tempted to tell them to shove it, myself, but I doubt I would have been so created.

They threatened his dog, so they get what they get – I personally loved both the wild paint color and the dandelion seeds.

Though this commenter also had a brilliant idea.

Plus, they’d never be without it when they wanted to make mojitos.

Other commenters were good looking out, reminding the original poster not to plant anything he didn’t also want in his own garden.

The more you know.

Stay creative with your revenge out there, people, and don’t let the neighbors threaten you or yours without retribution. It just isn’t right.

A Man Live-Tweeted His Apartment Getting Taken over by His Neighbor’s Pets

Imagine this: you hear a knock on your door, and then you open it up to find an adorable trio of animals just staring up at you.

Twitter user JuanPa didn’t have to imagine, because it literally happened to him.

Yep, that’s right.

Cats’ll do that.

This is just nuts.

Uh-oh…

Those are some clever dogs.

What do you even do in a situation like that?

Seriously, these dogs are VERY smart.

Maybe he’ll have better luck with the cat?

Nope.

Finally, the animals are subdued…

… Or not.

The plot thickens.

Sweet relief!

Thank the stars.

I get by with a little help from my friends.

Hurray!

If only it were that easy.

What a mess.

This is too much, y’all.

Thankfully, all things must end eventually.

What a ride!

Wow! I’m tired just reading about the day he had.

Neighbors Sue Owner of this “Flintstone” House Because it’s So Ugly

Unless you live in a town where every house looks the same, you’re probably familiar with the Ugly House. You know, that house in the neighborhood that’s painted a bizarre shade and/or looks like it was designed by an alien architect. The Ugly House is charming, but it also offends some neighbors.

In Hillsborough, California, the Ugly House is known as the Flintstones House.

The owner, Florence Fang, is obsessed with the Flintstones, and the property looks like the cartoon come to life. The house is rounded, red and purple, and it’s surrounded by fake dinosaurs. Also, the words “Yabba Dabba” are spelled out on the lawn.

You’ve gotta hand it to Florence for commitment!

Apparently, the neighbors are fed up with this house’s appearance, because the owner now has a lawsuit filed against her. BY THE WHOLE TOWN. Poor Florence.

Honestly, ugliness aside, the idea of a Flintstones House is pretty neat, like something that should be open for tours. Kids would love it!

But not everyone agrees. The lawsuit claims that Florence “created live-safety hazards that required immediate correction to protect visitors to the property.”

In the past, the Hillsborough building department has issued citations, $200 in fines, and stop orders to Florence over the house. They claim her additions were “designed to be very intrusive, resulting in the owner’s ‘vision’ for her property being imposed on many other properties and views, without regard to the desires of other residents.”

If you’re wondering who on Earth this Florence woman is: she’s a businesswoman, philanthropist, and former newspaper publisher. She also has no intention of giving in to the lawsuit. Watch out, neighbors.
