Terrible neighbors can range from an unwanted annoyance to the reason you leave behind a dream home. The only thing worse than a neighbor who you find irritating is a neighbor you’re worried might be actively endangering you or the things you care about.

That, apparently, is the situation that Reddit user tdog945 found themselves in when they took to r/AmITheAsshole to get some perspective.

It’s hard to say in this case whether or not the neighbor was truly responsible for endangering or killing OP’s pets. When the thread got closed down they were apparently awaiting some kind of toxicology report to confirm. Either way, I think we can all agree, don’t go screwing with other peoples’ homes.

A Company Sued Disney for a Slogan Used in Frozen 2

There has been no shortage of successful Disney films this year. That success has translated to billions of dollars for the movie-making titan. In fact, seven of the ten top-grossing films of the year are Disney flicks, and Frozen 2 is well on its way to joining the mix…for now.

According to a TMZ report, Disney is facing fire for its use of the “Trust Your Journey” slogan made famous by its latest offering in the Frozen franchise. Apparently, a Nevada-based company “formed as a result of a personal fight and victory over breast cancer” is fighting for its share of the Frozen 2 profits.

The TMZ report states that the slogan has been in use for more than a decade, and the company has utilized it on a variety of clothing, jewelry, mugs and other merchandise. And that merchandise has been sold at Cracker Barrel and QVC. In fact, according to Trust Your Journey, it has sold nearly $4 million in merchandise over the years.

That sure is a staggering amount of money for a small company. Of course, it pales in comparison to the $924 million Frozen 2 earned in less than a month in theaters worldwide. The film has drawn excellent reviews, including a 92 percent audience score on the popular review website Rotten Tomatoes.

Disney did not respond to TMZ for a comment, so it remains to be seen if Trust Your Journey will be successful in its financial quest or if it’ll be frozen in its tracks.

A Vegan Woman Demanded Her Neighbor Stop Using Meat on the Barbecue Because of the Smell

Many vegans aren’t exactly subtle about their beliefs. But one vegan in Australia really took things several steps too far when she sued her neighbor for barbecuing in their own backyard.

Cilla Carden is a vegan massage therapist from Girrawheen, Australia. She claims that her neighbors intentionally barbecued fish in their backyard to bother her.

“They’ve put [the barbecue] there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can’t enjoy my back yard, I can’t go out there,” Cilla told Nine News Perth.

“It’s deliberate, that’s what I told the courts, it’s deliberate.”

To repeat: the argument is that they are deliberately cooking in their own backyard in order to waft the scent of fish, which Cilla does not eat as she is vegan, into Cilla’s yard. To…punish her? Or something?

This seems to be a case of a long-running neighborly feud. Cilla is not only bothered by the barbecuing, but also by her neighbors’ cigarette smoke and the sounds of their children playing, both of which drift into her own yard.

So, she filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the state of Western Australia, accusing her neighbors of breaching residential laws. The legal battle has dragged on since 2017. Her case was thrown out by a tribunal and a Supreme Court judge. Cilla filed an appeal, but that was thrown out too.

“What they are doing is living in their backyard and their home as a family,” said the State Administrative Tribunal of Western Australia.

Cilla’s neighbors have reportedly conceded to some of Cilla’s demands. They removed the barbecue and banned their kids from playing basketball in the yard.

But Cilla plans to continue fighting them in court.
