What is Finstagram? These 10 Folks Tell Us.

Even though it’s a term that’s been around for a while now, it’s taken some people (like um…me) this long to even catch onto what a “finstagram” is.

If you’re still wondering, it’s pretty simple. A “finstagram” account is just an Instagram account, except secretive. Either you keep it anonymous, or only give access to your closest friends. It’s a place where you can be stealthy or ridiculous without fear of larger social repercussions.

I’m still not entirely sure I understand the dynamics of finstagram, but that’s ok, I don’t think it’s a world that’s meant for me.

German teenage hairstylist Milena is doing some things that I’m sure a lot of people in her line of work would try their entire lives to be good enough to do.

Her intricate hair designs are as fascinating as they are beautiful, and they’re freely available to enjoy thanks to her popular Instagram account hairstylist.dream.

There Milena posts stunning images of her creations alongside occasional words of inspiration. It’s really a very refreshing and positive place to be and indicative of the bright future this gifted youngster has in front of her.

All of us have our personal interests in life.

I’m talking about a fella named Bill Young who travels all over the place for work and in his downtime documents the various hotel carpets that he sees on his many stops.

And I, for one, was actually pretty surprised at how different all the hotel carpets are out there. Who knew?!?!

I guess when you spend that much time on the road, you start to notice the little things that other people don’t…

I’ve worked on film sets and I know probably better than most people that every cool image you see had a lot of work put into making it happen.

Often that work is not at all glamorous. Sometimes it’s downright weird, or even demeaning. Occasionally it’s dangerous. You very much enter a mindset of “hey, whatever gets the job done” and you just start grabbing anything you can that might be helpful.

If you’re working without budget (and without permission) things can get especially strange. And that’s never more evident than in the world of amatuer photogs trying to bolster their social media presence.
