This Funny Looking Christmas Tree Will Keep Your Pets Away from Your Ornaments

Christmas trees add a nice touch to the holiday season — until your cat or dog gets their hands on it. Pets are naturally curious about Christmas trees, and for good reason! What animal could resist a brand new tree in the middle of your living room with a bunch of bright, shiny, dangling objects that very much resemble toys?!

But you don’t have to be cursed to forever pick up ornaments off of the floor, or come home to a tree that is fully knocked over. There’s now a half-sized Christmas tree that’s perfectly designed to keep curious paws away from it. It’s called the Parasol Christmas Tree. It’s six feet tall, but only has branches at the top, so the branches and ornaments are out of most pets’ reach.

The Parasol Christmas Tree is also useful for other purposes. It’s great for families who have young kids who tend to mess with the tree. It’s also helpful for people who don’t want to crowd up a small apartment with a full-sized tree, but still want a tree with some height to it.

Yes, this tree looks… unconventional. But with the addition of a pile of presents underneath, it still manages to retain the traditional Christmas charm of a full-sized tree. Plus, it comes in multiple colors, including a snowy version.

Unfortunately, the Parasol Christmas Tree is only available in the U.K. at the moment. Our friends across the pond definitely aren’t the only ones with naughty pets, though. It’s only a matter of time before a U.S.-based company follows the trend!

In the meantime, you could always make a DIY version or buy a Christmas palm tree instead.

Enjoy ‘Turducken-Flavored’ Pringles as Part of Your Thanksgiving Feast

Are you too busy to cook for Thanksgiving this year? You can just eat a bunch of Pringles instead. Not just any Pringles, either—Turducken-flavored Pringles, which are officially a thing now.

Pringles released the new limited-edition Turducken Friendsgiving Feast on November 7. And if you’re not familiar with the turducken, prepare to have your mind blown: a turducken is a chicken stuffed inside of a duck stuffed inside of a turkey.

It’s certainly less conventional than a simple stuffed turkey, but it’s (somehow) becoming more and more popular in the U.S. In some other countries, it’s called a three bird roast.

Back to the Pringles. Their turducken “feast” includes three meat-flavored Pringles: chicken, duck, and turkey. Pringles are easily stackable, of course, so the intention is for you to stack the three flavors on top of one another, achieving the full turducken experience in chip form.

In previous years, Pringles has released other limited-edition Thanksgiving kits. Last year, it included pumpkin pie, turkey, and stuffing flavored chips.

This year’s kit is available for $15.99. You can buy it exclusively from the Kelloggs website, but supplies are very limited, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get your hands on one.

There’s always next year—and at this rate, God only knows what flavor of Pringles they’ll come up with next. Cranberry? Ham? Crhamberry?!

If you don’t feel like scrambling to order Pringles from the internet but are still tempted to eat chips for Thanksgiving dinner, there are also Roasted Turkey-flavored Pringles available at regular grocery stores.

Christmas Beard Lights Are Here. Go Ahead and Embrace It!

Trends come and go throughout the years. What’s hot one minute is considered pretty lame a minute later. It can sure be hard to keep up, am I right?

Well, here’s one trend I hope sticks around for many years because 1). It’s pretty hilarious, and 2). It’s quite festive! A company called Firebox sells Christmas lights for beards, and I have to say, this may be the best idea I’ve seen in quite a while.

Not enough room in your living space for a tree? Make your face fuzz festive instead and bring Christmas with you…

Posted by Firebox on Monday, November 19, 2018

The lights can be nestled comfortably into your bushy beard, and the battery pack is small enough to fit in there and not cause you any issues, so everybody’s a winner here!

Firebox also has some other fun accessories for your beard, such as the Disco Beard Kit, the Snow Beard Kit, and the Christmas Tree Beard Kit.

The reviews don’t lie, either:

“Absolutly [sic] hysterical and was one of the main talking points during Christmas in our house. Lovley [sic] bright LED’s, good functions and apparently the clips were comfortable!”

“Bought as a joke gift for Christmas for my daughters husband who has a very bushy beard. Thought the kids would love it.”

“Brilliant product, bought for my hairy son. Lit up his night shift!”

Also, there are some other companies out there that sell similar products if you want to shop around. One thing fellas: you gotta grow your own beard, so get going on that, okay?

It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Are you gonna get in on this trend?  If you do, you’ll be “lit”. Get it? If you do this, let’s see your photos in the comments!

Good News! You Can Build a ‘Gingerbread’ House out of Oreo Cookies!

It’s a time-honored winter tradition to make holiday-themed houses out of cookies and frosting. Now there’s a brand new type of cookie house that is, frankly, making gingerbread houses look very boring in comparison. The Oreo Holiday Chocolate Cookie House is here, folks, and it comes in a ready-to-use kit.

The Oreo Holiday Chocolate Cookie House kit comes with pre-baked chocolate cookie pieces, pre-made icing, and of course, plenty of miniature Oreo cookies. There are also some fruity gummies and candy jewels to decorate your house to true Christmas-y perfection (I know, it’s October, but the thing was released, and it’s AWESOME, so get over it).

The kit is available for $10 at Big Lots, or you can buy a mini version for $6.

“Get the family together this winter for some afternoon fun!” the item’s description reads. “This kit includes everything you need to build and decorate your very own OREO holiday chocolate cookie house. Just open the box and start building!”

Gingerbread houses are great and all, but man, doesn’t an Oreo house sound amazing? It’s basically a giant house-shaped Oreo. What’s not to love?

Shoppers have also spotted the kits at select CVS stores. Christmas is still many weeks away, so hopefully as the holiday gets sooner, these kits will start popping up at more locations.

Traditional gingerbread houses aren’t always the tastiest, especially once they’ve been sitting out for days. But an Oreo house? Probably won’t remain uneaten for long.

Step Aside Christmas, Ugly Halloween Sweaters Are Here

I’m not trying to tell you have to live your life, but you need to get on the Ugly Halloween Sweater bandwagon!

Ugly sweater parties were once only reserved for Christmas. It’s the hot holiday trend where your friends go out and buy the most hideous or blinged-out sweater to wear with pride to your party. Sometimes there were even prizes. But Santa Claus is passé – the Great Pumpkin is bringing it for 2019!

Halloween themed ugly sweaters are here, and they’re the perfect solution for your few friends who refuse to dress up for your Halloween party. Now they have a less involved option that keeps them participating in the spooky festivities.

Where can you find them?

Amazon has several available to fit your creepy fancy. Varieties include witches, Dracula, and even pumpkins.

And for the more reserved woman? Cardigans with skeletons!

FUN Wear is one of the biggest manufacturers that’s embracing all that is Halloween.

“COMFY COZY SPOOKY: We’re bringing the ugly sweater trend to the Halloween season with our exclusively made and expertly designed Ugly Halloween Sweaters. They’re Made by Us, and they’re Comfy Cozy Spooky!”

And if you’re more of a traditionalist who enjoys regular sweatshirts. No…um…sweat!

Even the kiddos can have fun dressing up. They offer many children sizes!

“But what if I don’t get invited to a party?”

No worries my friend, you can still strut your awful knit. Parents might enjoy wearing these while they trick or treat with the little ones – it’s low cost, low maintenance, and you won’t distract from you kid’s incredibly cute pumpkin costume or whatever.

Seems like they thought of everything!

Santa-holics Will Want to Live at This Gorgeous Inn Where It’s Christmas 365 Days a Year

Sure, Christmas has been over for months now, but there are some people whose Christmas spirits never die. These are folks who are always wearing a reindeer shirt underneath their regular clothes, who have a shrine dedicated to Santa Claus, and who drink eggnog year-round (ok, that last one I can get on board with).

If that’s you, then you may want to visit 119 Christmas Tree Lane in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, also known as The Inn at Christmas Place. There, nestled at the foot of the Smoky Mountains, Christmas lovers will find that all of their wildest dreams have come true – it’s Christmas every single day of the year.

It’s basically Disneyland for the people who count down the days until they can put up their tree every year.

No matter what month it is, no one at the Inn at Christmas Place will shame you for reveling in holiday magic – in fact, they go out of their way to create it. The lobby features a year round, fully decorated tree, there’s a glockenspiel playing Christmas carols, every room comes with a wreath, and a Singing Santa has been serenading guests for more than a decade (he even reads stories in the lobby a couple of days a week!).

The inn also offers modern amenities like an indoor pool and spa, a business center, and an on-site gym (all of which appear decorated by someone with the holiday enthusiasm of Buddy the Elf, of course), but for the most serious celebrators among you, the Santa Suite is where you want to be.

It comes complete with over-the-top decor, a balcony that overlooks the courtyard, a two-person whirlpool, a fireplace, and your own personal Christmas tree.

Oh, and Santa Claus himself will hand-deliver you a special present sometime during the night (make sure you’re asleep, or no dice!).

As if you needed further enticement to book your trip, the inn hosts several special events during the year, like Christmas in July and Mountain Fest (make your own soap and apple butter while dancing to mountain music and blowing way too much cash on homespun crafts), and it offers special packages, like one that includes tickets to Dolly Parton’s nearby Dixie Stampede.

Everyone knows a country Christmas is the best kind of Christmas, after all, and there’s no better place to find one of those than deep in the heart of the Smoky Mountains.

I could keep going, but we both know I had you at Santa Claus. Happy travels!
