Sometimes it because they’re outed for terrible things they’ve done and other times it’s through no fault of their own.

But there’s no doubt about it: a fall from grace in Hollywood is a movie in its own right.

And finally problems with his employers where people were invited to be on set but parents and visitors were up in arms when they were not formally notified he was a s** offender and on set.”

2. Trouble.

That 70’s Show was a constant joy since childhood, but after hearing Leah Remini interview a few of his victims, can’t even stomach the thought of watching it.”

Fame out of nowhere to convicted p**ophile.”

I know it’s said often but when I was a kid, I thought her head shaving and all that was really crazy.

“Silent film star Fatty Arbuckle was accused of r**ing and accidentally k**ling actress Virginia Rappe. Allegedly in his attempt to r**e her, he squashed her to death with his great girth.

He was tried three times and was eventually acquitted. Rappe most likely d**d from appendicitis. His career limped along until he d**d of a heart attack in 1933.”

10. A bad one.

“Can’t believe nobody mentioned Whitney Houston.

She went from being America’s sweetheart and favorite singer to literal crackhead, topping it all off with a very sad and untimely death.”

11. Sad.

“Ashley Judd got her career tanked because she pushed back Harvey Weinstein.

She lost her chance with a role in LoTR because of him and she mostly vanished from the screens after he tagged her as a “nightmare” to work with.”

12. Wrestling superstar.

“Chris Benoit. Great WWE wrestler.

Then he k**led his wife and son. Autopsy report showed his brain was like that of a 70 year old Alzheimer’s patient.

Then WWE went and deleted EVERYTHING that had to do with him. They didn’t want him associated with them after that.

He did all that wrestling, got so damaged he k**led his family and WWE just wiped him out”

“Mark Salling from Glee.

He got caught with kid p**n and then hung himself in the forest.

There is a lot of darkness around many members of the Glee cast.”

“Layne Staley, singer of Alice in Chains

He suffered from drug addiction for years, but once his fiancée d**d in ‘96, he basically abandoned the band and accepted that his addiction was going to k**l him.

He never got over her death.

He was found in his apartment weeks after he d**d because he had blocked everyone out of his life.

Truly such a loss to grunge and the music industry in general. And such a great guy that just didn’t want to get better.”

15. Crazy story.

“Aaron Hernandez, if he counts as a celebrity.

Star Patriots tight end, Super Bowl at 22. His last NFL game was an AFC Championship game. 6 months later, he was arrested for m**der. Convicted, sentenced to life without parole, committed suicide in prison at 27.

He was tried for 2 more m**ders and found not guilty but there’s a good chance he did it. The m**der he did get convicted for made sense if he thought that guy was blabbing about the other 2 m**ders he was caught up and wanted to shut him up.”

OMG it’s one of my heroes! 9 year old me goes to approach and ask for an autograph to which he replied “get away from me kid”.

“Mark Wahlberg did an appearance at his brother’s restaurant, he refused to take pictures with anyone taller than him.”

He just treated his very wonderful family like s**t and it was obvious he was cheating on his wonderful wife with the Asian nanny.

This moron would come into a ten table restaurant, all 6’5” and 300 lbs of him, wearing a gold kimono in the south and would wonder why people were looking at him…so he made us take the entry partition down and put it around his table. He was an absolute trash human being.”

It was mid 90’s in NYC and wife and I were at a very popular Asian restaurant with a huge wait. He walks in with an entourage and tries to worm his way ahead of everyone else.

He tried to play the ‘don’t you know who I am?’ card. Hostess was having none of it, said don’t know, don’t care, you’ll wait. They left in a huff.”

“Met Tiger Woods when I was 15. He slapped my hat out of my hand.

A different golfer whom I didn’t know ran up, picked up my hat and asked if his signature would be ok.

I agreed but I don’t know who he was or what his name was but my grandpa was pleased upon seeing it.”

“Wayne Brady screamed at my sister for taking his picture in Vegas.

She wasn’t taking his picture, he walked into the shot. He freaked out screaming that he wanted her to show him that she was deleting it. She was trying to explain she didn’t know he was there and showed him the picture that only had a sliver of him in it when she looked through the shots.

He continued to berate her about not respecting his privacy (in the middle of the Strip). She was in tears apologizing for doing nothing wrong and he never acknowledged he was in the wrong and continued to badmouth her as he stormed away.

Can’t watch him anymore.”

I liked his show and one day while I was getting a tour at NBC studios he bumped into me and turned around said sorry and then flipped me off and it’s not like I got in his way.

Walked into me from behind.”

Absolute a**hole.”

“Anyone from Pittsburgh can tell you that Ben Roethlisberger is a horrible person.

I have a friend who owns a bar on the South Side and he has, on multiple occasions, just walked into the bar and said “My friends and I are drinking for free tonight.”

He also told Arnold Palmer’s grandson that he doesn’t sign autographs if he’s not getting paid to do so. Legend has it he earned a pretty nasty verbal beat down from Palmer and apparently he’s banned from his golf course.

Arnold Palmer, on the other hand, was an incredibly nice guy.”

10. Famous comedian.

“David Cross is pretty miserable. He’s from Atlanta and his sister runs a food truck in town.

Her recipes were all named after David Cross/Arrested Development type stuff. So my wife and I being fans of David asked about it and she told us she was his sister. So for months we chat her up any time we order food from her truck, and eventually David’s in town.

She invites us to come to the food truck park to meet him, so we bring a poster from the early 2000s and are super pumped to meet him. We get there and she’s very anxious and hesitant to introduce us. Weird, but ok.

“No no no, it’s OK I’ll introduce you.” She does and he was incredibly dismissive and unpleasant. Never heard of anyone having a good interaction with him.”

11. Not polite.

“Kurt Vonnegut.

I had to get in touch with him frequently for work (at a nonprofit) for several years.

He was never once even vaguely polite.”

12. That’s a bummer.

“Bill Nye the Science Guy.

I was on a field trip in middle school and our teacher saw him. She politely asked if he could say something to us or just say hi- we always watched him in science class.

He told her to f**k off and basically berated her for bothering him and asking him to speak to a bunch of kids.

I’m not sure if he was just having a bad day, but it was not the best experience as a child.”

“Bobby Flay.

We paid hundreds of dollars to go to a fancy event he was participating in. Waited for a long time to just meet him and say hi, he looked at us and walked away.

Was a d**k about it too.”

2. Good and bad.

“My fiancé is a chef at a pretty prominent boutique hotel restaurant in Philly.

He says the two worst guests were Arianna Grande (made not one but two servers cry) and The Rolling Stones.

The best guests were Sylvester Stallone, Pink, Lady Gaga, and Guy Fieri.”

3. Only heard horrible things.

“Jared Leto.

I worshipped him as a teenager, mainly from seeing him in Requiem for a Dream and My So-Called Life and his band.

But he was the most pretentious and arrogant person in real life.

Never meet your heroes.”

“Reggie Jackson. He was a childhood idol of mine.

I got the opportunity to get a photo with him at some booth at a trade show called “Internet World” years ago during the dot com boom. He acted all bugged that I asked for a photo, even though that is what he was hired for and rolled his eyes.. I guess he thought I cock blocked him by just showing up in line to get a picture. I tossed the picture in the trash once I got it.

Later that day I got a ball signed by Steve Garvey who was super nice. He replaced Reggie Jackson as my hero that night.”

It was at a rock n roll/TV/movie memorabilia convention in the mid 90s, shortly before the Kiss reunion, and he clearly didn’t wanna be there.

He didn’t talk to fans, didn’t say hi, hell, he didn’t even LOOK at you when you came to his table. He just signed whatever you placed in front of him and then you were hustled away.”

6. Scumbag.

“Bill Cosby, before everything was publicly known.

He came to the restaurant in DC where I was a hostess. I came to get him for his table and he said “did you need a college degree for this job?”

Erm, no, man. Have you never met a server before?”

7. Diva.

“Diana Ross.

I worked in a health club in a hotel across the street from a stadium when I was young. She came in, looked at the pool (which was a really decent lap pool) and said, “My bathtub is bigger than this.”.

I replied, “Go back to your bathtub then.”. She wanted me fired instantly. HR told me to go home for 2 days because if they fired everyone she wanted fired, the hotel wouldn’t have any staff.”

8. Big ego.

“Drake was just unprofessional and egotistical when I worked with him both times.

This was before he got big big, first award show type level.

He told me to f**k off directly and I watched his mom calm him down from a tantrum.”

9. Neon Deion.

“Deion Sanders. I interviewed him at an NFL/military event like 8-9 years ago and he was a pr**k the whole time. He threw my lavalier mic on the ground when he was done instead of placing it in my outstretched hand.

I was also active duty military at the time and the event was on a ship.”

“Ray Romano.

Met him at a carnival like 12 years ago and he was a complete d**khead. I asked someone who was within proximity if it was indeed Ray Romano, and he hears me ask then turns around and says “oh hey look it’s Ray Romano” with a sarcastic tone and my father said “you don’t have to be rude”.

And his reply was “your kid doesn’t have to talk to f**king strangers either, good job dad” and he walked off just babbling bulls**t to himself. Kinda sh**ty since I spent some years watching his d**n show.”

11. Jerk.

“Me and my sister saw Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, and Salma Hayek on the street when we were eating lunch.

They were just coming out of a car, about to go into some building next to us. We had no idea why they were together but in retrospect it was definitely because they were filming 30 rock together.

My sister said “OH MY GOD IS THAT TINA FEY??” and Alec Baldwin turned around and went right in her face and said “dont f**king say that, dont speak to us, why would you say something like that? You cant speak to us, not now”.

But it didn’t really end there, he yelled AGAIN at us outside his building, saying “DONT LOOK OVER HERE, TURN AROUND AND EAT YOUR FOOD, F**K OFF”. He sounded genuinely furious at us. Almost like he wanted us to yell back and start something with him. Honestly my sister was on the verge of tears, it was horribly embarrassing.

Everybody knows, now, that Alec Baldwin has a history of screaming at people. But at the time we had no idea. Don’t get me wrong, my sister shouldn’t have yelled at Tina Fey like that, but the way Alec snapped was straight up scary, like he was about to physically hurt her.

Salma Hayek and some other lady who I didn’t recognize came over and apologized to us. She asked if we wanted her to go and get Tina and get her autograph because apparently Tina felt bad too, but we said no.

She then talked to us about the food we were eating, which was mexican food, and we ended up having a brief conversation about NY’s lack of quality mexican food. She was INCREDIBLY charismatic and sweet.”

12. Detested.

“Had to work three months on a film with Jim Belushi.

I could sense within the first few minutes of being in his presence on set he was an a**hole. His behavior deteriorated till the end.

He was detested by everyone on the crew including the cast. The movie, “Change of Heart”… went straight to video. Jim Belushi is a d**khead supreme.”

Frank Ocean’s Message to His Younger Self Really Inspires

Celebrities usually receive an outpouring of love and best wishes on social media when they celebrate a birthday.

Beloved worldwide for his fresh songwriting talents and alternative R&B tunes, Frank Ocean is no different in that respect.

On October 28, 2020, for his 33rd birthday, Blacks Rule Magazine celebrated the Grammy winner with a little Nostalgia of their own.

Referencing a 2011 Tumblr post where a fan asked Ocean, then 24, what he would say to his 19-year-old self who was just starting out, the tweet received thousands of comments and over 100,000 likes.

Instead of brushing the question aside with a flip reply, Ocean opened up to his fans.

Speaking to his younger self, he revealed that he would change his name, that his heart would get broken more than once, but that despite it all, he would survive and do what he was meant to do.

His words really resonated with fans on Twitter. Many expressed that they were moved to tears by the letter.

And I’m sure that you know that a ton of them did really horrible things and they deserved to be called out for them.

1. That’s too bad.

“Brendan Fraser got blacklisted after being molested by a higher up in the movie industry. His wife divorced him, taking his money too.

After all the joy that man has brought us, he got the short sh*t covered side of the stick.”

2. I’m glad he’s back!

“Paul Reubens aka PeeWee Herman.

He had a reputation of being kind of a stuck up asshole when the PeeWee character shot to fame, but not really any better or worse than other famous folks. He got “cancelled” because he was arrested for public indecency.

He was caught masturbating in an adult theater. Aside from the undercover cop who caught him, he was alone, and it was a normal adult p*rnography film. But the industry and media acted like he’d been caught with child p*rn or had r*ped someone.

He’s made a bit of a comeback recently though. I think people finally realized that in the grand scheme of “s*x crimes”, jerking it by yourself in a p*rn theater is nothing at all.

I saw his PeeWee revival on Broadway several years ago and enjoyed it, and I’ve seen him on a lot of the celebrity game shows on TV recently.”

She was entirely vindicated in the subsequent years (actually, the truth was far worse than even the Church’s worst critics could have imagined), but the legacy of that witch-hunt lives on.

Did SNL, Frank Sinatra, or any of the other f*ckers who were involved ever apologize to her?”

“I was pretty upset for James Gunn when he got fired from Marvel for things he had said over 10 years ago

But obviously fan outrage over that managed to make Disney realize how stupid their decision was.”

Bill Cosby put a scarlet letter on her after the movie Angel Heart. The convicted rapist thought she “sullied” the image of “The Cosby Show” and “A Different World” and this affected her career going forward.

He was both my Senator and my favorite politician.

He would have made a great president.”

I don’t feel bad he got cancelled. I just felt bad when he tried to apologise on Letterman and the audience was laughing and thinking it was a joke just because it was “Kramer”.

The man was groped by Hollywood exec Philip Berk and spoke out about it long before #metoo.

They instantly cancelled him and we never got to see him again till only recently… His mom also passed away shortly after he got s*xually assaulted.”

3. Shelley Duvall.

“Duvall was in a string of great Robert Altman films in the 1970s, and did her own string of Cable shows in the 1980s, Shelley Duvall’s Faere Tale Theatre, Tall Tales and Legends, and Bedtime stories.

Also, she did a few musical albums, and even created some computer games in the 1990s, like A Bird’s Life and A Dog’s life. There is WAY more to her then Wendy Torrane in the Shining.

Now, she is completly forgotten, except when people call her crazy or something. She deserves WAY better in my opinion.”

She didn’t even get “cancelled”, she just had her reputation smeared all over primetime tv and THEN the courts decide that her reaction to being systematically erased from relevance was “crazy”.”

5. Blacklisted.

“Peter Norman.

He should have been Australia’s greatest athlete, but he supported the black power salute and got black listed by the Australian Olympic Committee.”

6. Haven’t heard about this one.

“David Arquette.

There’s a really good documentary called “You Cannot Kill David Arquette” about what happened and how he is now.”

7. Two good actresses.

“Ashley Judd.

Harvey Weinstein blacklisted her for years. She’s an incredible actress IMO.

Mira Sorvino, too. She went from one of the most in-demand actresses after winning her Oscar, to being completely blacklisted because Weinstein was telling anyone who’d listen that she was a diva and impossible to work with.”

8. Star of the 1980s.

“Corey Feldman.

He was the first who told everyone what was really going on with child actors in Hollywood and no one listened.

Barbara Walters yelled at him for exposing it.”

9. Pee-wee!

“Paul Reubens.

As a 1980s kid who loved PeeWee’s Playhouse, remembering how my parents tried to explain Paul Rubens getting canceled is hilarious.

My dad told me “he took off his clothes in a movie theater” and kid me was like “wow that’s really weird but I guess he is kind of crazy?””

Obviously she’s recovered but we lost a decade of great Laura Dern performances because of studios perception that she was cancelled by public opinion for playing a gay role.”

“Not completely gone, but Terry Crews has issues getting work because he spoke out about being s*xually assaulted during the #MeToo movement.

“Robin Williams was in town for a performance and was having an issue with his computer.

He brought it in for repair and spent the time waiting hanging out with us, taking pictures, cracking jokes and talking to us.”

“Several years ago I worked at a nice, sit down pizza restaurant.

One night Miley Cyrus (Party in the USA era) and her whole family came in.

I waited on them. When it was time to bring out their pizza I put it on the table and said, “It’s a pizza party in the USA!”

She did not find it as amusing as my coworkers did.”

6. That was nice.

“I used to work at an oil company where we dispatched over a radio…

A driver was delivering to Ben Affleck’s house and mentioned that it was my birthday.

Ben got up into the cab of the truck and got on the radio to wish me a happy birthday!”

7. Big mug.

“This happened to a girl I work with but still awesome.

Nick Offerman came into the coffee shop we work at and ordered a large coffee.

When she gave him the mug he looked at her and said ” that’s a satisfyingly large mug” did his awesome laugh and sat down giggling at the mug.”

8. Maybe they’re just normal folks.

“I was working at a restaurant when Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel came in.

They were so nice and actually tried to help us bus their table!”

9. Funny.

“I was a barista at the time, and Brad Garrett (from Finding Nemo, Everybody Loves Raymond) came in.

It was a busy cafe and I had TONS of fun with customers there, while trying to be as efficient as possible.

I also had THE COOLEST eyeglasses ever at the time, they were rectangle with triangle shaped arms made of stainless steel.

It’s important that you know how cool these were (R.I.P. ?). Anyways, Brad comes over to watch me make his beverage. We make some small talk, and now Brad is wearing my glasses and impersonating me. ” I am a fancy barista, look at how cool I am with my weird glasses…” he says.

So I immediately shot back, in my most Brad Garrett-y voice: ” oh look, I’m Brad Garrett, I’m SOOOO funny and I’m a giant human” (said while walking around like Shrek). He laughed. I laughed. He even came back the next day asking where I was!

It’s the friendship that never was, but always should have been.”

10. Not a shocker.

“Taylor Swift came into the store I work in while she was in Westerly, Rhode Island and completely ignored all the workers and customers.

Her very attractive body guard was pleasant and chatted with us though!”

11. Oops.

“I work at a Starbucks drive thru and one day Kevin Bacon came through! He was wearing a beanie and sunglasses (at night ?) and I wasn’t 100% sure it was him so I decided to test it.

Right before he was gonna drive away I said “have a nice night, Kevin!” He said thank you very politely, then as if remembering he didn’t want to be recognized he mumbled “sh*t” and drove away.”

12. That voice, though.

“My mom, my sisters, and I were visiting Philadelphia on July 4, 2006. We went to the hotel penthouse to play a board game.

While we were playing, my mom realized that Lionel Richie was across the room and was being interviewed for the July 4 festivities. She was so excited that she stopped playing the game and started whispering her responses to anything Richie said as if they were having a conversation.

When he finished the interview, he walked by and my mom introduced herself. He was extremely pleasant, warm and friendly. He said to my mom, “Very nice to meet you, ma’am.” He then turned to my sisters and me and said, “You guys probably don’t know me. You probably know Nicole.”

I said, “No, we don’t go to school around here, so probably not.” He just stared at me, smiled, and gave my mom a hug. Once he left, my twin sister said, “No, you idiot, Nicole Richie. She’s on TV.” I said, “Oh, yeah, sure.” I still wasn’t sure who she was until I looked her up later.

In any case, Lionel Richie was very kind, and even though my mom apologized profusely for “bothering” him, he assured her that he always liked meeting fans and their families.”

13. That’s a weird comment.

“My family own a Mexican restaurant on the south side of Chicago. One day three men come in and talk about the charity work being done in the area. I nod along and go about serving them. One gentlemen in particular looked especially familiar but I couldn’t place him.

Eventually, they ask me about The Shawshank Redemption, if I have ever seen the movie. I said no. They point to one of the men, not the one who looked familiar, and said he was in the film. I shrug and say, “that’s cool”. All this while the one who looks familiar refuses to make direct eye contact with me, like he was shy. I almost said that he looked familiar but I didn’t want to bother them while they ate.

Eventually they finished and left, but not without telling me not to get knocked up at a young age. Later that day I tell my older brother about the encounter. He pulls up pictures of the cast. The shy gentleman who I recognized – Tim Robbins. Thanks for the life advice, Tim Robbins, 12 years later and I’m still not knocked up.”

People Share the Bad Encounters They’ve Had With Celebrities

I worked on movies and TV sets for quite a few years, but I gotta say that most of the celebrities I had personal interactions with seemed pretty cool and somewhat normal. But, as you know, people who are rich and powerful can often be…difficult…and some of them are just straight-up *ssholes.

I guess we can’t really blame some celebrities for being frustrated in public (or even online). You have people coming at you all the time from different directions wanting something, anything, from you.

So I can see how certain famous people get irritated and lash out. I’m not saying it’s appropriate or acceptable, but I guess until you’re in that position, you just really don’t know how you’d act or react to people. I plan on finding out very soon when I get famous from either my dancing or my modeling.

The fight for good has made some significant strides in these last few weeks. Breonna Taylor’s murder case has been reopened. They arrested all four officers responsible for the death of George Floyd, and upped the charges against his murderer. LA is redistributing $150 million from the LAPD budget to invest in communities of color. Marches have happened in all 50 states and around the world, pressuring our representatives to introduce legislative change. And all that happened because of the protests, the emails, the donations. But unfortunately the fight is far from over. Just yesterday, Georgia was rampantly suppressing the black vote claiming it was for the safety of voters due to the coronavirus, even though more and more businesses are opening around the country. It’s so frustrating that it’s so hard to get people in power to do the right thing. We elect them hoping they will take the responsibility. It is, after all, their jobs to do so. But it’s an imperfect (REALLY imperfect) system, and the way we fix it is by getting loud, donating, hitting the streets, making angry calls and sending angry emails, and never relenting. I have learned so much these last weeks. My privilege has shielded me from so many horrors – many of which were not even hidden. My eyes are being opened to the police brutality and the over funding crises and I’m mad as hell. But anger is exhausting. What we truly need right now is heart, integrity, and a fuckton of courage. So I hope this helps brighten your day, but never forget that the fight isn’t close to over. Now let’s start down that yellow brick road which hopefully leads to real racial equality. This Married Couple Recreates Movie and TV Scenes and the Results Are Great
