Here are the two big scandals that I remember happening when I was in high school…
One, a kid got stabbed in the hallway during a fight my Freshman year.
And two, a girl got pregnant Senior year and mysteriously never came back to school one day…that’s all I can really think of right now. I’m sure there was a lot more going on, but that’s what I was aware of at the time.
But we’re about to hear a bunch of crazy stories from high school on Twitter, thanks to this person who threw the big question out there.

1. A secret affair.
Well, I guess it worked out?
My music teacher had a secret affair with my classmate. He left his wife for her. They then got married. We were 5th formers.

3. Bet he didn’t see that coming.
Rubber stamped!
Small beer by comparison with some, and not my school but a previous school of my best friend (no longer here to tell the story), where the the boys gained access to the rubber stamp of the Headmaster’s signature and used it to resign him from his post.

4. You definitely couldn’t do this anymore.
You’d be in deep sh*t if you tried a stunt like this.
Sports teacher burst into classroom & “shot” maths teacher, shouting “you slept with my wife”
Kids (age 11) go apeshit. Both teachers then went to front of class & bowed. Sports teacher held up the starting gun, laughing.

5. True ’80s style.
Kinda weird…
French teacher who had had a girl in every fifth year for years finally excelled himself by turning up, drunk, at a pupils’ house party and getting off with his latest flame in view of everyone. This was too public for even the school to ignore, so in true 80s style

History teacher vanished one day. Turned out he joined the Waco cult.

7. That is terrible.
A true crime story.
Oh and a long time substitute teacher ominously said he wouldn’t see us again. He was correct. Turns out he drove to another state and murdered his ex wife, then committed suicide.

8. The hitman and the nun.
This person needs to write a book.
Grade school: father of a kid in my brother’s class was a hitman; nun was removed for having an affair with a student’s mother. High school: geometry teacher was arrested in a big male prostitution bust at a turnpike rest stop.

10. An odd turn of events.
Shouldn’t have taken that coat.
A teacher confiscated my friend’s coat and then the teacher got fired and it turned out he’d faked his qualifications and my friend never got his coat back.
